Archery Ireland is seeking a new International Secretary
Role Duration: 2 Years
Workload: 0–2 hours/week standard; 4+ hours/week during selection deadlines.
Synopsis: Manages travel logistics, commercial transport booking, housing, and competition registration for national squads traveling abroad.
Core Responsibilities
Team Management: Ensure that all Team Ireland members accept and sign agreements, and are aware of their anti-doping e-learning requirements. Meet with Team Ireland members as required.
Logistical Booking: Use WAREOS and other systems to secure cost-effective group transportation, housing, entry passes, and catering options within deadlines but without lowering athlete comfort or performance. Provide invoices to Team Ireland members for their personal costs after each competition.
Financial Projections: Calculate and provide detailed travel expense forecasts months before events to assist the Treasurer with budget planning.
Selection Support: Coordinate prompt meetings of the selection subcommittee at the end of qualification cycles to verify that team rosters match established performance rules.
Knowledge & Experience Required
Prior experience in corporate logistics, event travel booking, or hospitality administration is required.
Academic training (such as a degree or master's qualification) in a management, business, or logistics field is preferred.
