8 lessons from trail running π
1. β
Pace yourself
Small steps over the long haul π’π
Life is a marathon not a sprint
Avoid burnout
2. β
Steep climb = tough descent (be ready)
Life's going to be π©π© sometimes and we have no control over it, but we can control our reactions
3. β
Don't assign a level of difficulty to a task before you start
Otherwise you might never get going
4. β
Beautiful things are all around us
You just need to open your eyes
Stopping looking for greener pastures, look after your own grass π
5. β
Fitness, health, performance and longevity mean different things at differ stages of life
If it's just a six pack your after, reflect on WHY 99% of the time you won't be happen even if you get it
6. β
Get stuff done early (time is finite)
Your going to run out of laters
We only have so many "I'll start on Monday"
For me about (2800 hopefully π₯π§) and I've load left to do
That 2800 opportunities to progress, regress or stay put
7. β
Focusing on the task at hand
Does wonders for your mental health
You can't fix the past or see the future
You can only affect the now
Running down a steep wet muddy path with sharp rocks and slippery roots make you understand and importance of focusing on here and now
Not what happened yesterday or what will happen later
8. β
Get outside and live
Before it's too late ππππ
Have a great weekend
Bonus tip
Don't take pictures with the sun βοΈ in your eyes π
