It was with great sadness that we learned of the untimely passing of Michael ,(Mick) O' Shea, Maghera Mor ,Shinrone,Birr Co Offaly and formerly Dublin.
Mick was one of our original and long serving members. He was a very keen cyclist and hill walker.
We have lost a great character, gentleman, a man of compassion and friend. He had all the attributes.... tough, strong and the heartiest of laughs.
A true Dub with a strong Kerry name...he loved those Kerry mountains. We will miss the wit and that great laugh.
Slán go Fóill Mick.
Our sincere condolences to his beloved wife Anne and family.

It's nice to be nice....

Hi.
I presume this is club of the kind people who rescued me outside Birr last Wednesday when I got a puncture while out on a cycle run from.Banagher. I just wanted to say a big thank you to all involved...for the offer to drive to home and the changing of the tube. I didn't get the names of the two men who donated the tube and did the good deed...but could you please pass on my sincere appreciation to them.
I live in Cork but have spent a lot of time up with my mother since March and the bike has kept me sane during this difficult time....I have rediscovered lots of places in the midlands. I am a bit disorganised because of all the going up and down so my emergency supplies were in Cork last week...a bit foolish I know to be out without it.!
Kind Regards,
Pascaline Horan

Thanks Pascaline, you are very welcome!
