🌈 WHAT A DAY! 🌈

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our 2026 St. Colmcilles Colour Run another brilliant day to remember. 💙🩵

A special thanks to Jack Doran Motors, TRIBE Trucks, Sweatscape Sauna, Izmoo Gelato, Deja Bru coffee and Budget Signs for all their support in making the day such a success.

🎤 A big thank you to Niall Bennett and Sean Perry for keeping everyone entertained with their fantastic commentary and music throughout the day.

We’re also hugely grateful to An Garda Síochána and the Civil Defence for their help in keeping all of our participants safe along the route.

And, of course, a massive shout-out to our incredible volunteers. From setting up and marshalling the course to helping throughout the event and cleaning everything up afterwards — days like this simply couldn’t happen without you.

Thank you too to all the residents along the route for your patience, support and kind words of encouragement as our runners passed by.

And finally, to every single person who took part — THANK YOU! 🌈

We’re going to give the Colour Run a break for the next few years, which made seeing so many of you come out today even more special.

Thank you for turning up in your numbers and helping us finish this chapter with another memorable family and community day in the Cilles. 💙🤍

🌈 LAST CALL FOR THE CILLES COLOUR RUN! 🌈

Tomorrow is the day — and it’s your last chance to take part in our Colour Run for a while! 💙💛

After some brilliant Colour Runs over the years, we’ve decided to give the event a break, so there won’t be a Colour Run next year. If you’ve been meaning to do it, this is the one not to miss!

Two big championship games tomorrow for our adult men 💙🩵

A full Sunday of football ahead as our Junior A and Intermediate teams are both in Round 3 championship action.

First up, our Junior A team travel to Seneschalstown for the All County Meath Junior Championship Division 1.

All at St. Colmcille's GFC would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Jackie, Aaron, Bronagh, Ciarán and Patrick Grant on the sad passing of Jackie's beloved mother, Josephine (Josie) Cantwell.

Jackie has been a valued member of our club for many years, serving in numerous roles including player with our G4M team, coach to our underage girls' teams, mentor and dedicated volunteer.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Grant and Cantwell families, as well as Jackie's extended family and wide circle of friends, at this very sad and difficult time.

Saturday evening is a big one for our Adult Ladies as they head into the final group game of the Intermediate Championship.

With one win and one loss so far, it all comes down to Saturday’s game against St. Ultans, with a place in the Championship semi-finals to play for.

Our Senior Men will be battling for their own quarter-final place in Dunsany at almost the same time, so we’re asking the St. Colmcilles community to divide and conquer! Pick a game, bring the family, wear the colours and give our teams as much support from the sidelines as we can.

And to our younger Seasiders — these are some of the same players who’ll be in Piltown on Sunday volunteering at the Colour Run and cheering you around the course. Let’s get out on Saturday and cheer for them first.

It all comes down to Saturday evening for our Senior Men.

After one win and one loss from the opening two rounds, the lads face Ballinabrackey, who come into the game with the same record.

That makes this one simple — a place in the Championship quarter-final is on the line.

Our Adult Ladies are also in action at 6.15pm in Marty, where they face St. Ultans with a place in the Intermediate Championship semi-final at stake.
