What a fantastic day! We had 13 triples teams and 1 doubles team, with 41 players in total, plus a few spectators.

Players from the Longford, Loughnavalley, Dromod, Sligo and Cavan Pétanque Clubs descended on Belturbet for a great day’s play.

A huge well done to everyone who attended, and congratulations to our winning team:

🏆 Mary, Shuhel & Anita

They played brilliantly as a team. Mary displayed some of the best pointing I have seen so far in my playing career. Anita was brilliant at getting into the boules and winning the point, while Captain Shuhel is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to shooting and pointing — he has it all!

🏆 CAVAN PÉTANQUE CLUB – MVP LEAGUE 2026 🏆

At Cavan Pétanque Club, we nominate an MVP (Most Valuable Player) after each club game. The player who receives the most MVP nominations throughout the year wins the coveted MVP Trophy at the end of the season! 🏆

🌟 Last year’s winner was Josh, who impressed everyone with his fantastic playing style and performances.

Who will take home the trophy this year? 👀🏆
