Stroke Player of the Year - 2025

Congratulations to Cormac O'Muirithe who was crowned Stroke Player of the Year for 2025. The best 6 gross scores out of 10 qualifying competitions were taken into consideration. It went down to a final day shootout with Cormac edging it to be a deserving winner once again.

Well done to Cormac who wins the Stroke Player title for the fifth time.

Golfer of the Year - 2025

Congratulations to Martin Cosgrove who was crowned Golfer of the Year for 2025 with a great total of 102pts for the year, well ahead of the chasing pack. Well done to Martin who wins the golfer of the year title for the fourth time.

Thanks also to John Hanley for updating the standings after each week, Kevin Donnelly for maintaining the Twos competition and finally competition secretary James McGuire for his work throughout the year.

Our 2025 Centenary Am Am will take place this year on the weekend of July 19th & 20th 2025.

To book your slot please call the golf shop or drop in. Great prizes on offer with 4 Golfstyle vouchers up for grabs for the winners.

Best score over the two days will determine main prize winners so your team has two opportunities to post the best score.

James was a valued and active part of our club, he brought light and warmth to every gathering. His sharp wit, easy charm, and boundless charisma left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

James had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome, always ready with a clever remark or a kind word. His presence was a constant source of joy and laughter, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all of us.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Aishling, Hugo, and the entire extended Lacey family during this difficult time.

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of James Lacey. His booming laugh, his quick wit, and his natural ability to connect with people made him a standout presence on and off the course. James had a way of making everyone feel instantly welcome. Whether you were a regular or a first-time visitor, he found common ground, shared a story or a joke, and made you feel like you’d known him for years. That was his magic.

To Aishling, Hugo, his mother Olive, and all of James’s loved ones - we extend our deepest condolences. Please know that James made a lasting impact here, and we will remember him with great affection and gratitude always.

James turned strangers into friends, and a round of golf into something truly special. RIP. ❤️
