Great day out in Bantry Golf Club today for the West Cork Junior Shield where our team came second. Congratulations to the home team on their win! Great day had by all and the course was in superb condition!

This s**t was supposed to end months ago! Balls are still plugging and in some cases hard to find! I moved back to Ireland two years ago to play more golf and I’ve ended up playing less than I ever have! It’s hard to be positive with this weather we’ve been having! ☹️

Beautiful day for some practice today! After all the rain and course closures since the start of the year I can’t believe how good the greens are looking and rolling! Took this picture from one of my favorite spots on the course near the 2nd Green, I love the view in the background and the cherry blossom in flower close to the green. It was always a spot I used take a breather in to take in the beauty of the course when I came back for holidays during my ten plus years in the Middle East.

5 years today since I did the role of walking scoring in the first ever Saudi International at Royal Greens in Jeddah for the trio of Stuart Manley, Ashley Chesters, and a little known Aussie golfer at the time called Min Woo Lee!

My experiment with the blue tick has finished, and I’m going to be removing it.
Regardless of what Instagram say about it raising reach and engagement, I have found the exact opposite to happen! My reach has dropped to 50% of what it was, and my engagement even worse at 20%! My number of followers has also not increased in the six months I have had the blue tick, whereas I was gaining about 2500 a year before I got the blue tick.
This whole blue tick thing is an utter scam in my opinion. Unsubscribing straight away! (Will only take effect I believe when the subscription is due for renewal at the end of the month).
In summary, all the numbers have gone down since getting the blue tick. Definitely detrimental to my page! Shame on you Instagram and Meta! ☹️

🇮🇪 DI**LE GOLF LINKS (CEANN SIBEAL), IRELAND 🇮🇪

Had the pure joy of playing Di**le Golf Links (Ceann Sibeal) yesterday! On what was a wild but dry day I was seriously impressed by the course! I had played it many years ago but I had forgotten what a beautiful place this is! Many times throughout the round I just paused and took in the stunning surroundings. This course is up there with some of the best and nicest I have played!

Great to see the SwingU app back up and running! I use it all the time when planning the courses I’m playing to get a gauge of how to play the course and what to expect.
