Dear boxers, just a brief message to inform you all that boxing will be starting back next Tuesday the 1st of October at 7.30pm in Cloghan Gaa club grounds. This is a temporary measure until we can sort out the current situation we find ourselves in .This is due to the fact that we are possibly facing loosing the facility of Quigleys hall, which we have been using for the past 18 years, due to the property going up for sale without any notice or consideration for the club using the facility. We are trying to source another facility that would suit our needs in the community and if anyone knows of such a facility could you please let us know ASAP. We have also spoken to the possible new owners of Quigleys hall and have asked them to let us remain in the facility as to which we hope they will allow us to remain. But we are not sure if they will be willing to allow us to remain in the facility and are awaiting an answer to our request. This is very upsetting to ourselves the boxing club as we have made this our home after 18 years, also it is devastating for the Indian community who have used the facility for badminton and also the Gym that Darren McDermott has upstairs for over 12 years. We are all very upset and devastated as we have integrated into the community of Banagher and surrounding community and parishes. We have had remarkable achievements over the 18 years which included county , provincial, and national champions also European silver medalist so we are appealing to everyone and anyone who could help us with the situation we find ourselves in, we would be very greatful . I will keep you all updated with any progress over the next few weeks or months and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused by this devastating circumstances.
