Hello Biking Community Friends.
Advice required please.
Q. Has anybody taken a motorcycle abroad, Spain in particular, for a longer term than 31 days in one stay or 90 days in any 12 month period?
(I'm thinking of going to stay in Spain for up to 8 months but wanted to bring my own bike.)
Just wondering if anyone of ye good people have any ideas or experience of actually doing this?
Is it possible to get the bike insured in Spain under Irish Reg. Plates under a Spanish Insurance Company?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

A few photos of the proceeds from our recent run in memory of Gerard O’Brien, Moira presenting to Eugene on behalf of Temple Street Children’s foundation and Susan on behalf of NSPCA Mallow and Tom presenting to Garry on behalf of Pauline’s Rescue.
Nearly €11000 split between 3 very worthwhile causes.
On behalf of ourselves a big thanks to everyone who partook in any way in the running of the run.

I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out today to support the Gerard o Brien run and make it the success that it was, from everyone who came and checked in, donated in any way, volunteers who were brilliant, Marshalls who made it a safe and good run, the committee for everything done. Triona and all the staff in Inver Charleville for use of the forecourt and kind donation and discount. Richard o Donoghue TD for use of his event trailer. Peter for keeping us entertained. Kevin and his staff in Reidy’s Foynes and most importantly Moira for allowing us to hold this in Gerard’s name and memory.

For anyone getting raffle tickets tomorrow please make sure that you have your name and number left on the Stubbs of the tickets, all winners will be contacted afterwards to get prizes out.

An update for Saturday. The route is set for the day some lovely roads on it but if the weather turns against us we have an alternative route which should keep us away from the worst of it.

Inver in Charleville have given us a a great deal on tea/coffee and deli items, anyone checked in and with a wristband for the run will get a 40% discount on tea/coffee and deli items on the morning of the run.

All modes of transport welcomed in the morning if yere not feeling the weather is ok.

Looking forward to seeing ye there on Saturday.

We are raffling off this John McGuinness signed Isle Of Man helmet, kindly sponsored by club member David O Sullivan. All proceeds from this go the Gerard O Brien Memorial Run taking place on 04/04/26.Raffle will be on 1 to 100 numbers with winner drawn on Facebook live video using Google random number generator. Numbers @ €20. Payment through Revolut or PayPal if using PayPal please use family and friends, or by cash to any club member.

Remembering our friend, who's so missed every day, and especially around this time of year, Gerard O Brien.
He cherished Christmas with his wife,family and friends and will be so sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Please raise a glass to his memory on Christmas Day.
