Congratulations from all at Ballysteen AFC to Tommy Hartigan Community Rep, our current chairman and men’s team manager, on being elected in the Adare-Rathkeale LEA. We wish Tommy every success in his role as Councillor and we have no doubt he will represent the people of our area to the best of his ability.

All at Ballysteen AFC would like to wish current chairman and mens team manager Tommy Hartigan the best of luck as he contests the local election on Friday June 7th under the Independent Ireland banner.

Tommy has been a valued member of our club for many years and has overseen many positive changes in that time. Most recently he headed up the committee which was awarded €7200 in the Sports Capital Ireland Grant, the first time the club has ever been successful in securing funding. This money will go towards a new set of goalposts which are portable and comply with safety standards, a robotic lawnmower and a new pitch lining machine. Tommy is also currently involved in a working group which is looking into a drainage solution for our pitch. Tommy was also manager of the team who secured a Division 3 title and a league cup success.

Make sure to check out the Tommy Hartigan Community Rep page where you can keep up to date with all recent updates from Tommy and take a look at some of the issues/improvements he is currently working on in conjunction with Richard O'Donoghue TD in the local electoral area. Voting is a democratic right and we would urge club members to exercise that right on June 7th.
