A few weeks ago I spoke about the importance of visualising your landing spot when chipping.

Now it's time to train it.

This ladder drill is a simple but brilliant way to improve your ability to pick a landing spot and consistently land the ball where you intend. The better you get at controlling that first bounce, the more predictable your chip shots become.

Don't just hope the ball lands in the right place—train your eyes and your feel to make it happen.

Make the Hole Look Bigger! 👀⛳

A simple but incredibly effective visual putting drill.

From 12–15 feet (both uphill and downhill), place two tees just wider than your putter head on either side of the hole to create a gate.

Instead of focusing on the hole itself, your only goal is to roll the ball through the gate. By giving your brain a slightly bigger target to focus on, you'll make a freer, more committed stroke.

If you roll the ball through the gate, there's a great chance the hole gets in the way!

Simple setup, clear focus, and a great drill to help you hole more putts from that key scoring range.

MAKE RATES vs EXPECTATIONS ⛳️
One of the biggest mistakes golfers make on the greens is expecting too many putts to go in.
Even the best players in the world don't make as many putts as most amateurs think:

• 3ft – PGA Tour 99% | Average Amateur 90%
• 6ft – PGA Tour 70% | Average Amateur 45%
• 10ft – PGA Tour 40% | Average Amateur 25%
• 20ft – PGA Tour 15% | Average Amateur 8%
• 30ft – PGA Tour 7% | Average Amateur 2%
The reality is that once you get outside 10 feet, even Tour players miss more putts than they make.
Instead of getting frustrated when a 20 or 30 footer doesn't drop, change your focus. Your goal from longer range should be excellent distance control and a stress-free 2 putt.
A good lag putt that finishes inside 3 feet is a success, regardless of whether it goes in or not.
Better expectations lead to better decisions, less pressure, and ultimately lower scores.
Don't judge your putting by how many long putts you hole. Judge it by how many 3 putts you avoid. ⛳️

The bump and run is one of the most effective shots and very reliable around the green if you have alot of distance between yourself and the hole. Using a PW, keep the ball back in your stance, weight 70% on your lead leg, make a putting-style stroke, and let the ball roll towards the hole. A great shot to improve consistency and lower scores!
