Why do you think your diet is failing you? 🤷🏽♀️
Chances are it “failed” because:
Your approach to fat loss was unsustainable , you tried to cut out food groups, starve yourself, all while doing excessive amounts of cardio because you wanted the weight gone immediately.
The truth is , excess weight gain is as a result of eating too many calories over a longer period of time. It’s as a result of becoming inactive and forming habits that lead you to over eat… over a longer period of time. In order to un-do this you will need to build healthy, sustainable habits OVER A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME.
Susan can lose 10 pounds in 10 days drinking meal replacement shakes but she can’t live her life doing that all the time. She will most likely stop after 10 days, return to her old habits and put on 14 pounds in a month because she has no tools or education on how to keep it off. This creates a never ending cycle of constantly trying to lose the excess weight multiple times in a year.
Instead, Susan could keep her social life, integrate more movement/ exercise and slightly reduce her overall calorie intake on a daily basis. She could focus on losing 1 pound a week over 10 weeks. The weight loss is the same but now Susan has built sustainable habits into her lifestyle and she can keep the weight off easily.
You don’t need to repeat the same narrative in your head over and over again.
