Works are continuing this week on The Glen Loop of the Capel Way walking trail and it remain closed for the rest of the week to facilitate these works. The Island loop will remain open, as will much of the cliff section up to very near Glenawilling Strand. The road down to Glenawilling Strand (past the stations of the cross) will also remain open but it is best avoided for the remainder of the week

Dip at the Slip 2025 was a huge success yet again despite the icy temperatures and big waves.
A big thank you to all who ventured to Knockadoon in aid of Knockadoon Enhancement Project.
A big shout out to RNLI for their support today and always for keeping us safe in the waters.
Thank you to our hard working committee and all of our amazing volunteers.

Get ready for Dip at the Slip 2025.

The Glen Loop of the Capel Way walking trail will be closed for the next week or so to facilitate much needed works. The Island loop will remain open as will much of the cliff section up to very near Glenawilling Strand. The road down to Glenawilling Strand (past the stations of the cross) will also remain open but it is best avoided as there will be heavy machinery in the area. We will update as soon as the walk reopens.

Well, some moronic vandals have graced us with their presence in Knockadoon. Thanks for making our job harder. I'm sure you are proud of yourselves whoever you are. Also we have had a visit from the dog poo fairy who left a package for us. Thanks for that. We are a voluntary group and this kind of thing really makes us wonder why we bother.
