This is a short video showing pressure distribution beneath the saddle with the horse at walk.

Information is collected in real time and highlights problems with a badly fitting saddle, uneven flocking, unbalanced pressure distribution and other issues created by improper weight distribution from the rider.

If you weren't lucky enough to get new equipment for Christmas, it might be a good idea to check out your Saddles, Bridles, Girths, Martingales, Harnesses etc.

Tim Ward Saddlery is excited to launch SADDLE FIT PRESSURE MAPPING in the new year!

Our new 'state of the art' sensor is the result of extensive research coupled with the latest technology in surface mapping and algorithm development.
The saddle fit pressure mapping system provides real-time feedback showing precisely where the pressure points occur between the saddle and the horse (both static and whilst ridden) at any location in the contact region.
The scientifically accurate and precise data is used to ensure the best possible saddle fit and evaluate your horse's back for symmetry and potential sore spots.

As the sensor measures the shifting pressure of the rider, it not only checks saddle fit, but how your riding position affects the pressure distribution on your horses back. The recorded data can be used to improve rider and horse performance and communication, assess gait, asymmetry, bio-mechanical problems and identifies excessive pressure points that can cause the horse and rider physical pain.

Both the horse and rider will benefit with improved comfort and performance.
