With the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor on the horizon, Jim Furyk has been touring Ireland this week, soaking up the golf, sport, and our hospitality.
Ballybunion has long been a favourite stop for the world’s best golfers — and today was no exception. ⛳️🌊

Star power on the fairways in Ballybunion today ⛳️
Today we welcomed Actor Rob Lowe to our world class links. Rob Lowe has starred in a wide range of films and TV projects over the years. Some of his best-known movies include: The Outsiders, St. Elmo’s Fire, About Last Night!

We also had a returning familiar face Nathaniel Crosby and his son Nathaniel, back to enjoy another memorable day on the links! Nathaniel Crosby is an American amateur golfer and the son of legendary entertainer Bing Crosby. He is best known for winning the 1981 U.S. Amateur Championship and has long been associated with golf through the famous Crosby family tradition and tournaments.
There’s nowhere quite like Ballybunion for golf, scenery, and famous faces!!🏌️‍♂️

Huge congratulations to everyone at Ballybunion Golf Club on the incredible achievements at the 59club UK & Ireland Service Excellence Awards, hosted at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort on 26 March 2026.

Winning “Ultimate Members Club” for a third consecutive year in a row is a true testament to the club’s consistency and dedication to excellence, passion, and community spirit that make Ballybunion so special.
Also, huge congratulations to John Bambury on being named Greenkeeper of the Year 🏆 The outstanding condition and presentation of our courses is no accident—it’s the result of passion and commitment at the very highest level. 🏆A truly well-deserved recognition—congratulations, John!

It was a pleasure to welcome the Minister for Sport, Arts, Culture and Heritage Mr Patrick O Donovan, along with local Senator Mike Kennelly, Councillor Aoife Kennelly, Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Michael Foley, to Ballybunion Golf Club during their recent visit to North Kerry.
We were delighted to host them for lunch and to showcase not only our world-renowned links but also the incredible community spirit and sporting tradition that make North Kerry so special. Minister Patrick Donovan was on his first of many official trips to North Kerry ahead of future Sports Capital Funding for Sporting, Community and Cultural projects.
A great opportunity to discuss the continued development of sport, tourism, and local facilities in the region. We look forward to building on the positive conversations had on the day!
