As the dust settles on the courts after a busy weekend we want to thank everyone who travelled and supported the Ballinrobe Open. Another great weekend with top quality games and stuff competition.

There were 9 players from our club, Joe Devenney, Orla Tiernan, Michael Kelly and Lisa Biggins all taking home 1st place in their respective competitions.

Johnny O'Keeney, Fermoy Racquetball Club , was the men's open winner. Niamh Murphy, Templeudigan Wexford was the ladies open winner.

Congratulations to all and we're already looking forward to next year

Ladies, add Thursday evening racquetball to your calendar.
Our popular Ladies Racquetball Night is back, and all are welcome — from complete beginners to experienced players.

All you need to do is turn up at Lakeside Sport and Fitness Centre Thursday evening from 7 - 9

Equipment is provided, and it’s a great way to spend an evening meeting new people while getting some exercise.

Congratulations to all our members who took part in the Connacht Singles championship this weekend.

✨ Here are some highlights:

🏅 Ladies Novice:
Gold: Orla Tiernan, who played an amazing game to beat Regina Byrne (Castlebar) 3-1.
Bronze: Aoife Kelly and Lisa Biggins also put in good performances it to earn well-deserved bronze medals.

🏅 Ladies Intermediate:
Gold: Katie Walsh was in top form, taking the win against Fiona Kyne (Castlebar) with a strong 3-0 performance.

🏅 Men’s Senior:
Gold: Joe Devenney brought his A-game to take home the gold, winning 3-0 against Katie Kenny in an exciting final.

👏 A huge well done to everyone involved—from the players to the organisers, a great day all round.

We decided to give the Sports Personality of the Weekend award this year to Tommy Walsh. It was Tommy's first open tournament, and he reached the novice final. He travelled from Kilkenny, to Castlebar, to Ballinrobe on Saturday, went back to Kilkenny Saturday night, and was in Ballinrobe again at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning. Showing such dedication to racquetball, he was a deserving winner.
