Delighted to finish my first year of - level 8 Saftey, Health & Welfare at Work
I am looking forward to offering the opportunity to improve employee morale, engagement, and wellness, by designing action plans to drive positive behavioural change, improve psychological safety and reduce accidents at work.
It’s critical that organisations prioritise and value safety at all levels. Merging coaching & leadership with health & safety helps you create a culture of safety in a workplace.
•Incident rates: improves employee engagement & psychological safety, helping reduce the number of accidents on site.
•Near-miss incidents: helps improve and increase near miss reporting, helping to reduce the number of accidents on site.
•A safety culture: Improve Team Engagement, which is the number one indicator of high psychological safety at work.
Why is a culture of safety important?
A culture of safety is essential for the success of any organisation. It not only reduces the number of accidents and injuries but also improves employee morale, productivity, and job satisfaction. It creates a sense of trust and openness among employees, leading to better communication and teamwork. A culture of safety also ensures that the organisation complies with the necessary safety regulations and standards.
My approach will aim for a positive workplace culture, underpinned by a culture of coaching, which is instrumental in proactively caring for people’s well-being. Such a culture not only supports individuals facing mental health challenges but also creates an environment where employees feel valued and supported. Coaching, particularly focused on developing coping mechanisms and resilience, plays a pivotal role in empowering employees to manage stress and challenges effectively, thereby mitigating the risk of mental health issues and MSD.
For now, I better go earn my stripes! 🙌🏻
