Seán Connolly’s LGFA would like to extend our sincere condolences to Hughie, sons Colin, Enda and Adrian, daughter Sinéad, daughters-in-law Mary and Sheila, son-in-law Brian, grandchildren Ben, Dan, Jane, Olivia, Aaron, Leo, Louise, Kate and Grace, and the extended Dalton and Devine families on the sad passing of Mary Rose Dalton.

Mary Rose was a wonderful supporter of Seán Connolly’s over many years and will be sadly missed by many.

❤️🤍 HISTORY MADE ❤️🤍

Our Junior team welcomed Granard to Maguire Park this evening for the Championship Semi-Final, and we knew from the start it was going to be a tough, physical battle.

The girls worked hard, got the scores on the board and came away with a fantastic win 🙌

And what a win it is… for the first time in our club’s history, our Junior team are through to a COUNTY FINAL 🥹❤️🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the team this evening. The support from the sideline was incredible and meant so much to the players and management.

Thank you to Granard for a great game and we wish them all the best.

Now it’s time to get the red and white flags out around the parish… WE’RE GOING TO A COUNTY FINAL ❤️🤍🏆

❤️🤍 U16 Cup Semi Final ❤️🤍

Our U16 girls welcomed our neighbours Mostrim to Maguire Park yesterday evening for the Cup Semi Final.

It was a fantastic game of football from start to finish. Mostrim got off to a strong start, finding the net early, but our girls worked hard to settle into the game. Some brilliant points brought us right back into it and saw the sides level as the game progressed 🙌

There was plenty more action after the break, with scores added at both ends. Our girls battled right until the final whistle, but it was Mostrim who came away with the win and a place in the Cup Final.

It’s not the end of the championship for our girls, as we now wait to see who we will face in the Shield Semi Final 💪❤️🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Maguire Park to support the girls yesterday evening, and best of luck to Mostrim in the Cup Final.

A massive congratulations to Clodagh Brady and Roise Brady, who represented Clonbroney and Longford at the Community Games National Finals in Carlow.

🏅 Roise Brady - 4th Place, U8 Art

These results are an outstanding achievement and a testament to the talent, creativity and commitment shown by both girls throughout the competition.

We are incredibly proud of these talented sisters and all they have accomplished. Well done, Clodagh and Roise!

U14 Cup Final ❤️🤍

Our U14 girls met Slashers in the Cup Final yesterday evening in what was a brilliant game of football from start to finish.

It was a physical battle with plenty of scores going up on the board. Slashers had the advantage going into the second half, but our girls came out fighting and showed great determination to bring the game back to just a single point.

They battled right until the final whistle, but it was Slashers who came away with the win in the end.

We’d also like to wish a speedy recovery to the players who picked up injuries during the game ❤️

It was brilliant to see such a big Connolly’s support on the sideline getting behind the girls! Thank you as always for coming out to support them 🙌

Their championship journey isn’t over yet, as the girls now look ahead to the Shield Semi-Final on 15th September 💪❤️🤍
