At 11.03pm on the night of March 13th 2017, the Crew of Irish Coast Guard helicopter RESCUE116 left Dublin International Airport SAR Base on what would be their last mission, tasked to perform top cover for Sligo based RESCUE118.

RIP Dara Fitzpatrick, Mark Duffy, Paul Ormsby & Ciarán Smith - lost off Blacksod, Co Mayo at 00.46 on March 14th 2017.

Rest easy, we have the watch.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Search & Recovery teams from across Ireland to this year’s SAR Conference — a weekend dedicated to sharing knowledge and strengthening collaboration among all involved in Search & Recovery operations
