UPDATE- Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for Petey Maughan on this occasion, an All Ireland silver medal isn't a bad days work. Well done 🥊

Best of luck today to Petey Maughan who competes in the B2 72kg All Ireland Final tonight, all Finals today are live streamed through Boxing Ireland.

Big congrats to Mona Mitchell who won her semi final on a 5-0 on Thursday, she now is in the G3 45kg All Ireland final next week 👏

Willie Maughan boxed a fantastic quarter final in the B1 37kg but was on the wrong side of the dreaded 3/2 split, had a fantastic season so far becoming Mayo and Connacht Champion.

We had 4 boxers enter into the Connacht Championships and came home with 3 gold and one silver.

Massive well done to all, should be all very proud of yourselves.

Willie Maughan, Petey Maughan, Mona Mitchell brought home the gold 🥇and will be competing in the All Irelands in the next few weeks.

Michael Owen Sweeney had a great semi final last week and was just on the wrong side of the decision today.

Well done to Mona Mitchell, Chloe Mitchell and Kelsey Langan who all competed in the All Female Tournament hosted by Aglish,

Chloe had an excellent skills bout,
Mona had the hand raised after a tough battle against a loughglynn boxer,
Kelsey had a brilliant display of boxing in an exhibtion as boxers were different weights.

Hi everyone, Ballina BC is delighted to announce our 2nd Wild Atlantic Box Cup that takes place from the 19th-21st of June 2026.

Wild Atlantic Boxcup is proudly hosted by Ballina Boxing Club and open to male/female participants born 2014 to Elite level.
