1. WAKO recommend 20mm jigsaw mats. a.

How do I create a safe sparring area for kickboxing? A WAKO sparring ring should be 6m x 6m or sometimes 8m x 8m for World Final eventshttp://www.wakoweb.com/Pdf/3195.pdf Our mats all interlock together and are reversable in colour.

2. What thickness mats do you recommend for Aikido? Throwing is an integral part of Aikido and thus we recommend 40mm mats.

3. How thick should my mats be for kick

boxing? The thicker the better but 20mm is most popular.

4. How many mats do I need for a WAKO sparring ring?http://www.wakoweb.com/Pdf/3195.pdf state 6mx 6m or 36 mats and in some cases 8m x 8m or 64 mats. Its always a good idea to have spares!

5. What is a 'zone' in my jigsaw mat ring? Zones are blocks created in a different colour. For instance in Kickboxing two boxe zones are created to mark out fighter starting points. All our 20mm and 40mm mats are reversable.

6. How are jigsaw mats better than regular matting? resistant to cuts and tears,

c. Interlocking Mats are easier to replace if damaged than large conventional sports mats. d. foam mats are very easy to clean and quick to dry. e. Jigsaw mats can be used indoors and out. A quick solution for protection over concrete. f. Our jigsaw mats can be “custom cut” for fitting difficult corners or areas. g. Mats can be flipped If one side is scratched or damaged in anyway.. you cant do that with all mats. h. Jigsaw mats can be less slippery when wet from sweat, when compared to many other surfaces.

7. Can I use my mats outside? We dont recommend permanent usage outside but yes they are waterproof.

8. What disciplines can jigsaw mats be used for? All sporting disciplines.

9. Do all jigsaw mats fit/tessalate together? NO! manufacturers have specially prevented this to keep you coming back to them.. If your in doubt contact us and we can send you sample edges.
