Duration & Schedule: 2 weeks – 23rd, 25th & 30th, starting at 6:45 pm.

Cost: €120 (includes Canoeing Ireland membership and club membership for the rest of 2026). No additional cost for going on club paddles and using club gear for the rest of the summer 🌞 and winter if you’re up for it 🥶

Requirements: Attendance on all three evenings is required to receive your Level 1 certificate.

What’s Included: Use of a club kayak, helmet, buoyancy aid, and paddle.
What to Bring: We recommend wearing a wetsuit and old runners.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Bagenalstown in Bloom taster sessions this morning. We had kayakers, SUP’ers and the occasional swimmer 💦😂

Our volunteer instructors kept them all safe and having fun on the water.

Would you like to learn to Stand Up Paddle Board? Start a new low impact activity? Get on the water and enjoy nature? If so we’ve got just the thing for you…
The Intro to SUP course is designed to get you confident on the water.
You’ll be gliding on the river Barrow, waving to the Swans and Heron in no time. Or just splashing around making new friends and having a laugh.

Over 3 evenings – Mondays 6th, Wednesday 8th and Monday 13th of July, starting at 6:30 pm, duration apx. 2 hours.

We recommend wearing a wetsuit and old runners, ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED.

Cost: €120, includes Canoeing Ireland membership and club membership for 2026.

Attendance on all three evenings is required to receive your Intro to SUP certificate.

We’ll be on the water next weekend as part of Bagenalstown In Bloom. Our kayaking and SUP sessions are fully booked out but make sure to say hi or give us a wave.

Last night was a very busy one for the club, we’re all getting limbered up for the heat wave 🌞

Our kayakers went for a leisurely peer paddle…

And our SUP boarders mixed it up with SUP YOGA 🧘 🏄‍♀️💦 some on dry land, a little on the paddle board and a few big splashes.

Congratulations to everyone that completed our Intro to SUP course yesterday evening.

It was a wet and windy last session on the water to test the skills learned over the last few weeks, and everyone did great.

Here to plenty of sunny evening peer paddles over the next few months.
