Donn Cuailnge Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy I began my Jiu Jitsu training in 2006 while in Hawaii. My instructor was Ron Huxen a Brown Belt unde Ron Huxen (Hawaii Kai BJJ Academy) to go ahead and teach.

Our little school is quite unique, we are all learning together as one unit. Our instructor has such a love for the art of Jiu Jitsu that he was given the go ahead by his instructor Mr. He keeps in colse contact with Mr Huxen and travels to Hawaii to train with him for intensive training/coaching. We all learn together, we all progress together, we are all brothers in Jiu Jitsu.

Lads with the outbreak of the corona virus certain precautions have to be taken to stop the spead. Make sure you and your GI and belt are clean. Wash hands before and after training don’t share water bottles. If you have any symptoms at all do not train. NO EXCEPTIONS. 🤙🤙

Some good drills in class lately guys well done on the hard work.. Class tonight at 8.30pm then tomorrow evening in Balance Martial Arts & Yoga.
Remember Ray will me coming down to teach a seminar on Saturday 28th March starting at 12pm. We are very lucky to have him, Maeve and hopefully some of the lads visit our place so I’m hoping everyone will be in attendance..

It’s that time again.. and we have had some year together, you have made great progress....
Lots of tournaments, lots of wins, lots of injuries and lots of learning.

I’m going up to “The Cow” again this year for a bit of a session and I’d be delighted if you could make it too. Few beers if that’s what you’re into, a bit of food, few songs, I’ll tell you a few yarns and we’ll have the crack.. It’s on the same date as last year, the 28th of December. It worked well for everyone last year and if it’s not broke don’t fix it.. I’ll get a bus organised again too..

Same as last time anyone that is gifted enough to be able to play music please bring your weapon of choice along.

Our Friday night fight class starts this Friday 6-12-19 at 7.30pm..
Class will be a mixture of no-gi Jiu Jitsu, striking focus pads, strike shields and punch bags, skipping and bodyweight drills. No sparring until you get a good understanding of how to strike and then only if you feel comfortable with it. You can use this class as a self defence/workout class or as full fight training.

This class will be part of our weekly BJJ schedule and included in your monthly membership fee or you can pay as you go for each class for €10.00.
