Yesterday we held the Mon 2 Juror Course at our clubhouse.

The course provides the training required to become a jury member/examiner for Diving Ireland’s Examiner assessments, qualifying participants to be part of the examining panel. Once they have completed the course, jurors can undertake the required trainee Examinee juries as part of progressing and qualifying within the Diving Ireland system.

The course saw 15 Mon 1s, 3 Mon 2s and 5 Mon 3s taking part, along with a member of the CMAS Board of Directors.😊

We were delighted to provide water safety cover for today's races as part of the Athlone River Festival. It was great to see so many people enjoying the activities on and around the water.

A big thank you to Athlone Boat Club for looking after us afterwards. The tea, coffee, sandwiches, wraps and biscuits were very much appreciated by our crew.

🎓 Calling all Leaving Cert students! 🎓

Our friends at West-Midlands Credit Union have opened applications for their Educate 360 Student Bursary Programme.

They're awarding 12 bursaries of €1,000 each to students progressing to further education, including university, college, PLC courses and apprenticeships.

The annual Jim O'Connor Memorial Castle to Castle Swim, which takes place each August, held its swim trials last Saturday 4th July and yesterday evening at Coosan Point. We were delighted to provide safety cover on both occasions.

It was a gorgeous evening on the water, with all the swimmers making it safely around the course. Our snorkelling crew were also out training and stopped by to say hello.

We provided safety cover for the Athlone Regatta at Coosan Point yesterday. A busy first half supporting a number of boats on the water, followed by a much quieter second half with only one assist required. 🤿🛟😊

To celebrate the end of our choir term, we are delighted to be hosting an Ice Cream Funday in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland, with all funds raised going directly to the charity.
