Competitive swimming club. Our home pool is Askeaton, Co. Limerick Swimming is such a fantastic sport and truly is open to all - although we admit we are biased!

Askeaton Swimming Club prides itself on the development of all swimmers with openness and inclusion; promoting health, wellbeing, and enjoyment through swimming for all children. Askeaton Swimming Club is fully committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of all our members - the club is affiliated with Swim Ireland, and abides by Swim Ireland rules and regulations. We have a long history of positive r

esults from our swimmers, both personally and competitively. Our coaching team is committed to the development and progression of all swimmers. Quite a few of our Senior Swimmers also train to become coaches - they really love the sport that much, they want to pass it on to younger swimmers. The opportunities in this sport are endless, and there is a lot of fun and laughter for all - in and out of the water.

🏊‍♂️💙 What a day at Munster Swim Fest! 💙🏊‍♀️

This morning, our Junior swimmers, Franko, Maryanne, Beatrice, Rowan and Lilly, got the competition off to a fantastic start, producing a host of personal bests, medals and final appearances.

The success continued into the evening session, where two of our Senior Squad swimmers, Henry and Aine, delivered outstanding performances, achieving more personal bests, medals and finals. Aine was agonisingly close to taking gold, just being pipped at the finish in a brilliant race.

As the curtain comes down on another successful day at Munster Swim Fest, we now turn our attention to tomorrow, when Robert proudly represents both Ireland 🇮🇪 and Askeaton Swimming Club at the European Transplant Games.

Everyone at the club wishes Robert the very best of luck. Enjoy every moment, race with pride, and know that the entire club is behind you! 🍀🇮🇪🏊‍♂️

🎉 Congratulations to Joe McCarthy! 🎉
Askeaton Swimming Club is incredibly proud to congratulate Joe McCarthy, who tonight was appointed as Honorary President of Swim Ireland for the year ahead.
As a lifelong member of Askeaton Swimming Club, Joe has given tremendous service to our club; a tradition of dedication that runs through his whole family.
We wish Joe all the very best in his new role and look forward to seeing the great work he will continue to do with Swim Ireland for the clubs, for the swimmers, and for everyone involved in swimming in Ireland.
