LEINSTER SENIOR LEAGUE RESULT:
Missing a few players through injuries, 13 lads headed to Inchicore for an 11am kickoff against the homeside Dublin Bus.
We started brightly and a free from Jonathan Kelty found Oscar Malcomson ⚽️ who's powerful header flew past the Bus keeper 0-1. Ten minutes later, great work down our left wing and Oscar Malcomson ⚽️ turned and fired a right foot shot into the bottom right corner 0-2. Bus came back at us and on the stroke of halftime were awarded a penalty, up stepped the Bus striker to blaze over, halftime whistle went 0-2.
Second half and we knew the next goal was going to be crucial and up popped our Leinster Senior League debutant Evan Whelan ⚽️ to get the final touch in a crowded goalmouth 0-3.
Bus came again but our backline today were on point and Sean Crowley sitting in front was a towering figure. Ten minutes to go and we broke away ,a lovely clever ball found debutant Evan Whelan ⚽️ and a little shimmy and clip around the advancing keeper before slotting into the net from a tight angle 0-4 .
A fantastic performance by all 13 lads this morning and we climb the league table, next Friday night we are home in Travers Insurances Park against Maynooth , kickoff 7:45pm.
