Classes are starting back Monday, 5th January.
If you're contemplating starting a fitness journey or returning from injury but not sure you're ready, this post is for you.
There's plenty of ways to "be fit".
Some people lift heavy weights but can't run for the bus. Some can run marathons but can't touch their toes. Some can hike for miles but can't stand on one foot. Some are flexible but not strong. Some can do lots of fancy or extreme activities but struggle with pain. Some have been busy prioritising work and family and feel out of touch completely, and coming to a fitness class feels far too outside their comfort zone.
No matter how you're feeling, please know that gyms and classes are there for you. It's not your role to know anything right now. Talk to us to decide which class best suits what you want right now and then show up and we will figure it out very slowly together.
My pilates and yoga training is humming away in the background of all classes I teach. Mindfulness, correct breathing, and body awareness are at the core of all the sessions I lead. Listening to your body and doing what's right for you in the moment. I love modifications, and I really believe in being intentionally slow and gentle if that's what feels right to you. The result is the same.
You don't have to wait to be ready. At Jenuine Fitness, we advocate for consistency. When sessions are incorporated regularly, you'll see your body being able to do more without too much extra effort. It's just movement. Even if it's new to you, we will help simplify it so you won't feel thrown in the deep end ✨️
