🚁Exciting project 🚁
Tomorrow we undertake the task of airlifted 40 tonne bags of stone onto the mountain between Derreenavoggy and Crosshill. This work is essential in order to maintain and enhance our trail.
This section of trail remains closed until Thursday
The helicopter will be flying over and back in this area for about 3 hours and aims to start at 9.30.
Please share this to friends, family and neighbours located in this area, as we know that sometimes when people see helicopters flying around it may cause concern.

Mining Memories
We have had a large volume of Miners stories recorded so far. We've been capturing some incredible stories, from lorries drawing the coal, to the miners pre match preparations with St. Ronans, to the encounters with the wild mountain goats 🐐 ⚽️
This interview series has been a whirlwind of emotion, and we are so grateful to everyone who contributed so far.
Unfortunately, this project is nearing its completion, we have about 2 more nights of interviews left. If you or somebody you know would like to contribute, please email [email protected] or call/text 086 853 4610
Feel free to comment below and tell us what your greatest memory of the times of the mines were

Due to the impact of Storm torm Éowyn we urge the public to please stay clear of forestry sections of the trail. We would also ask for extra vigilance as there may be trees down/hanging in sections.
We endeavor to get these issues sorted as soon as possible and would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding.
