Introducing Our Newest Girls Team – U7/U8! ⚽💚

A huge well done to all the girls this morning as they took part in their very first blitz representing Square United in Louth School Girls league in Dundalk sports centre.

We are incredibly proud of their performance, enthusiasm, and attitude throughout the morning. Every one of them gave their best, showed great teamwork, and played with smiles on their faces despite the challenging weather conditions.

Super work, girls – you were all brilliant! 👏

A big thank you as well to all the parents for coming along, supporting the team, and braving the weather. Your encouragement means so much to the players and the club.

Bellurgan 1 – 4 Square Utd

Our U13 D1 team travelled to Flynn Park, Bellurgan, this morning and got off to a flying start, racing into a 3–0 lead within the opening 15 minutes.

Ted Winstone opened the scoring with two well-taken goals, reacting quickest to loose balls on the edge of the box and giving the goalkeeper no chance on either occasion. The third came from Daniel Byrne, who spotted the keeper off his line and produced a superb long-range effort that sailed over his head and into the net.

A number of changes from the bench disrupted our rhythm slightly, and Bellurgan capitalised when their striker finished a one-on-one opportunity to make it 3–1.

The highlight of the match came when Danny Gallagher, making his return after a long spell out through injury and surgery, latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball from Brody Thorne and calmly poked it past the Bellurgan goalkeeper to seal a 4–1 victory.

A fantastic team performance and a well-deserved win. Well done, lads! 👏⚽

Square U10 girls travelled to Termonfeckin for their Louth Schoolgirls League game.

An all-round great team performance, with excellent teamwork on display throughout. The girls worked hard for each other, showed great determination, and represented the club brilliantly.

A delight for parents to watch. Keep up the hard work, girls — if you continue to play with the same commitment and togetherness, the future is certainly bright for this talented group. ⚽✨👏
