Newcastle West Golf Club is seeking an outstanding General Manager to lead the Club through the next stage of its development.
Founded in 1938 and located at Rathgonan, Ardagh, Newcastle West Golf Club is one of Munster’s highly regarded parkland courses, with approximately 1,000 members, a busy competition calendar and a strong visitor and society business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and commercial performance of the Club while helping to shape its future.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
⛳ Leading and developing the Club’s team
🤝 Delivering an excellent experience for members, guests and visitors
📈 Growing membership, visitor, society and corporate business
💼 Driving strong financial and commercial performance
🏌️ Supporting the continued development of the course and clubhouse
🎯 Working with the Management Committee on the Club’s long-term strategy and development
With the Ryder Cup coming to nearby Adare Manor in September 2027, this is a particularly exciting time to join Newcastle West Golf Club and help maximise the opportunities ahead.
Previous golf club management experience would be an advantage, but we also welcome exceptional candidates from hospitality, leisure, tourism, private members’ clubs and other customer-focused businesses.
