The Togean Islands in Central Sulawesi Indonesia is a chain of islands stretching over 80 km and has 6 main islands. Starting in the west is Batudaka Island hosting the main port of Wakai. "Togean" is the second largest Island that includes several Villages such as Tobil, Libiti, Katupat, Danda, Lembanato and more. Talatako is the least explored island but hosts The bajo village of Kabalutan in the south. Malenge to the north east is smaller but has several Beach resorts and Villages. It is the only Island with Makaka Monkeys. Walea Bahi and Walea Kodi are the most Eastern islands of Togean. After the wet season in May and June the high season and most popular time to visit the Togean Islands by western tourists starts in July into late September.
