Monkey Forest Ubud Run 2025 Successfully Held, Celebrates the Spirit of Tri Hita Karana through Sports and Nature Conservation
Ubud, June 8, 2025 — Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, widely known as Monkey Forest Ubud, proudly announces the successful and festive ex*****on of the Monkey Forest Ubud Run 2025, held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Monkey Forest Central Parking Area, Ubud.
The event attracted around 1,500 participants of all ages and backgrounds, both domestic and international. Carrying the theme “RUN-FoRest Run,” this event was not only a running competition, but also a celebration of healthy living, love for nature, and alignment with the Balinese life philosophy of Tri Hita Karana — the harmonious relationship between the Divine (Parahyangan), nature (Palemahan), and fellow human beings (Pawongan).
“This event was organized as a manifestation of our commitment to public health, environmental preservation, and the promotion of Monkey Forest Ubud as an ecotourism and sport tourism destination,” said a chairman of the organizing committee, I Gede Yogisswara.
The Monkey Forest Ubud Run 2025 featured two race categories: 5K and 10K, with a total prize pool of IDR 25,000,000 awarded to the top male and female runners in each category. The event also featured a variety of exciting door prizes, adding to the festive atmosphere and making it a memorable experience for all participants.
Each runner received an exclusive race jersey and a special edition finisher medal inspired by the Tri Hita Karana philosophy. The medal design includes elements such as the Candi Bentar (split gateway), Ubud’s iconic trees and monkeys, and a runner figure, symbolizing the harmony between spirituality, environment, and humanity.
The organizing team hopes that the Monkey Forest Ubud Run will grow into an annual flagship event, with broader promotion and greater collaboration with national and international running communities in the years to come.
