❤️‍🩹Confession: I don’t think I’ll ever fully go back to who I was before the pandemic. And honestly? I’m not supposed to

For the longest time, I thought something was wrong with me

Why was it so hard to “keep up” with life again?
Why did I feel so overwhelmed by the smallest things?
Why did home care, hygiene, routines…things I used to do effortlessly..suddenly feel like mountains?

Until I realized:
It was my nervous system whispering:
“I can’t go back there. I need something softer now.”

The pandemic changed me. Forever.

It taught my body how to survive

Hyperfocus on work
Ignore the rest
Stay busy enough not to feel it

But surviving isn’t the same as living

And it took me a long, long time to realize:
If I wanted peace, clarity, softness…I couldn’t force myself into the rhythms of old me

Old me was surviving hustle culture…New me wants to feel safe existing.

That’s where nervous system regulation changed everything for me

It’s Friday night and i am focusing on:

Gentle rituals
Tiny habits.
Showing my body over and over again:

It’s safe to rest.
It’s safe to feel good.
It’s safe to live beyond survival.

Peace came from fixing my relationship with myself.

From making my home feel like home again
From caring for my body like someone I love lives in it.
From creating systems in my business that work with me, not against me.

I’m not who I was before 2020…never will

I’m softer. Slower. Clearer. Safer. And that’s not a failure.

That’s healing 😮‍💨
