Part 2 of a week in Flores Island: Ran an OSIS 1-Star course this week with the crew at Komodo Kayaking — a mix of office staff, interns, local community members, and the local SAR team. Always a good reminder that the basics are where everything starts, from getting comfortable in the kayak to moving with more control and confidence.

Everyone showed up open, willing to learn, and ready to step a bit out of their comfort zone. That’s how a strong foundation (and a stronger paddling community) gets built!

A real solid week running the OSIS 3-Star Touring Kayak Course with the crew from Komodo Kayaking! Cool to see everyone step up day by day, getting more dialled in with their skills, making better calls on the water, and just growing more confident in their role as guides.
