I consider myself blessed and extremely lucky to have the life that I’ve designed.

It’s built on simplicity, adventure, ethics, optimal health and well being.
Collectively, that feels sacred. Spiritual.

Tending to spirit in all the ways that lights me up, beaming from the inside out is truly a life worth living.

And then when you meet inspiring humans and dive right into fruitful conversation, it’s surely the serendipitous icing on the cake…
deeply meaningful….
conscious….
authentic….
connective….
alive and awake.

4 humans.
From 4 different countries.
With 4 different paths.
Yet, aligned on so many levels.
Thank you for the inspiration and meaningful conversation.

Finding joy every single day is vital. It’s an act of resistance, especially now when so much is happening in the world that can bring us down.

Among other things, joy is what keeps my inner resources charged so that i can better hold space for anything less than joyful. This is how i strike balance, the Yin and the Yang.

Nature is a huge part of my joy, and spring time in Luxembourg this year did not disappoint, with days filled with sunshine, flowers in full bloom, and the joy oozing from those around me taking in the good weather.

The wisteria, in particular, made me smile. So sweetly feminine, graceful, delicate, yet full of Divine presence. All things I’m moving towards. 😊

Oh, how the beauty of nature can bring such sweet joy and reminiscence !

What sweet and simple joys will you discover today?

Yoga constantly asks us to wake up to the present moment: to observe, sense, feel, and respond with greater clarity and awareness. Sometimes it requires surrender; and at other times it requires persistence and fortitude.

Thank you for all your sentiments/concerns over the last few months. We have been listening and observing this time of great chaos and uncertainty. While parts of the world carry on as per the usual, there are just as many communities elsewhere who are feeling paralyzed, betrayed, and scared. Therefore, we are meeting these times with great compassion and understanding.

While we much prefer in-person trainings and have resisted going online, we do see the value of it, especially during times of uncertainty.

Shifting our courses online was planned for end of 2027, but we have decided to offer it sooner than later given the social, political, and economic unrest that pervades many peoples’ lives.

Some say 2026 has felt “as eerie as the 2020 pandemic”. We think the Yoga practice is one of the best things to turn to in times of duress. Yoga provides us with tools and a psychological road map to be able to navigate through adversity with a little more ease.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the year as we roll out two different online formats for you to choose from for our 200 hour course. We will also offer our Yin and Yoga Nidra course (60 hours), too.

We always look forward to seeing you, be it in person or virtually.

Until then stay safe, healthy, and nourished in every way possible.

With love and many blessings,

Samdhana

Forever delighted when I drop over to Luxembourg to .studios for training, workshops, and TCM sessions. The time flies!

One of my favorite parts is simply the diversity: students from France, Luxembourg, Latvia, Georgia, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Greece, and Romania all came together to better understand the value of slowing down and cultivating silence in our yoga practice, the value of slow, passive stretching, the desperate need for quieting the mind through yoga nidra, and thus finding balance between movement and stillness.

Especially at a time in the world where division seems to be the norm rather than the exception, this training felt extra special and sweet.

We ended in full celebration of each other, and it wasn’t Yin style either, oh no… I can’t tell you what we did because what happens in Luxembourg stays in Luxembourg. 🙃

But what I can say is that life constantly ebbs and flows between movement and stillness, as does our practice. This is our human experience.

Yin and Yang, in balance, are vital for a well lived life.

Many thanks for all of you who showed up to study, practice, reflect, connect, and have fun and a few laughs in between. What a joyful experience it was indeed!

Just a quick, sneak peek into some of the deliciousness happening .studios this weekend! Workshops are full and wait listed, and I am ready to go!

With over 34 years teaching yoga, I still love the practice and all the things the body is capable of.

Yoga involves meeting oneself where we are and evolving our practice to meet our needs. For me, that means not practicing in the same way all the time, day after day. My practice is not an autopilot, go-through-the-motions-while-thinking-about-other-things type of practice. Instead, it’s organic, juicy, fun, and innovative because what my body thrives on is change, variability, building strength, hip mobility, and core strength. Adding some yummy spice to traditional looking yoga poses makes it oh so delicious!

This weekend it’s the slow cooked, spicy variety…intentional and sensation-filled!

LOVE
as practice, not sentiment.

Love, for me, is a becoming—
shaped through
attention
intention
consistent care
and participation with life as it is now.

It begins with the body.
This one vehicle that carries us through decades of movement, work, creativity, and relationship.

What decades of practice and teaching have shown me is that what’s familiar isn’t always what nourishes us. Habit can masquerade as devotion. Love asks us to stay curious and responsive.

Loving the body means listening as it changes, understanding its mechanics, respecting its limits, and staying in relationship with it—especially as we age.

It means moving wisely.
Changing routines.
Adding variability.
Balancing strength, mobility, and rest.
Eating well.
Recovering well.
Never taking the body for granted, but treating it with reverence as both sanctuary and teacher.

Love extends outward—
to others through education, shared tools, meaningful conversation, and thoughtful care.

It also extends to the planet through sustainable choices and restraint.

Love isn’t something we fall into.
It’s something we practice.

So yes.
LOVE is becoming -
and the ground from which we teach.

About Alicia…

“I began teaching group exercise at 15, and in my 20s shifted to yoga. Over 30 years ago, it wasn’t the postures that drew me in-I was already athletic and strong. What captivated me was the meditation, the philosophy, and the quiet, graceful glow my teachers radiated.

Calling my work “Alicia Yoga” never resonated. I’ve always preferred collectives and collaborations. When I discovered the meaning of Samdhana-to put together, to integrate, to bring into harmony-I knew I had found the essence of yoga for me, and what I (and our growing team) hope to share.

My teaching style is fun, caring, intentional-and sometimes challenging. Real practice isn’t about perfection but embodiment. It’s about connecting the parts of ourselves and noticing how that connection ripples outward-into our relationships, communities, and the world.

This is how I live yoga off the mat too. My parents were deeply humanitarian, and their example shaped me. Giving back, being grateful, and taking responsibility for those with less has always been part of my path. Samdhana grew from this impulse: to carry yoga beyond the mat and into the world.

At Samdhana, we often start with the body-exploring ease and discomfort, strength and restriction, balance and resilience. As strength and mobility grow, and as breath retrains the nervous system, the practice touches physiology, psyche, and spirit. We embody connection more deeply, and it ripples outward into belonging, purpose, and renewed care for the world.

This is our focus on training world-class teachers:

* Body: Balance strength with mobility, stability with ease.
* Nervous system: Use breath to regulate and restore.
* Mind: Examine thoughts and beliefs with curiosity and compassion.
* Heart: Learn where to soften, release, and embrace forgiveness.
* Spirit: Practice the 8 Limbs, live consciously, and walk the path of dharma.

Yoga is never separate from how we live. It’s the weaving of awareness into daily life and the reminder that everything is connected.

At Samdhana, this is what we stand for: doing the inner work so we can live with clarity, purpose, and compassion-and from there, serve the world.”

Yes, Samdhana is emerging,
a rebirthing, if you will.

We’ve been fairly quiet the last ten months, but silence is not absence. It’s the ground from which creativity, care, and responsibility emerge.

We’ve been relaxing, observing, listening, playing, creating and manifesting.

Creative juices flow when you pause and give it time and space.

From this pause comes our emergence: new offerings in 2026, rooted in sustainable movement, mindfulness, and care for body, mind, and planet.

What we’ve created is meant to be experienced, lived, taught, shared, and practiced…
with you!

And our team is growing and the enthusiasm is infectious!

Swipe to see what’s unfolding: our latest offerings, our ethos, and what we stand and live for.

And so it is.
We are here,
and we invite you
to walk with us
into this next chapter.
