As it was told by Mr. Okayasu, in 1983 ASGA Japan has called out to Golf Associations in Korea and Taiwan to set up an opportunity for amateur golfers to interact with each other. onesia. Headquartered in Philippines, nowadays this nonprofit organizations has more than 1000 people from Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea already recorded as the members. The 600 of them are from Indonesia only. ASGA Indonesia plays an active role in promoting Indonesian golf facilities as one of the Asian senior golfer’s favorite destination, and already hosted three times event called “The 20th ASGA Friendly Match 2003”, “The 25th ASGA Friendly Match 2003” and “The 30th ASGA Friendly Match 2013” in Bali which the biggest attendants of almost 500 participations. This event held regularly once a year hosted by the take turns of the five Countries
A.S.G.A Indonesia also take part and has the same duty to promote the existence of senior golfing in Indonesia, together with many association established to maintain friendship, expansion of business and exchanging culture in the society. ASGA Indonesia members, who are 55 years old or more for Male and 50 years old or more for Ladies, come from prominent background. Most of them are businessmen, Military pensioners and former high functionaries. As a nonprofit organization, we collected annual fee from each member start from IDR 500,000 to today’s annual fee is IDR 1 million / years for establishing the group and continuing the existence. We provide monthly programs tournament in Rancamaya & Gunung Geulis in maintain the excitements for the members to be enjoyed playing golf. It is with only IDR 550,000 Rupiahs for one round golf, all member can enjoy playing golf with breakfast, Lunch, music entertainment and lucky draws. Once a year we held our owner birthday celebration “Sagitarius Fiesta”, by having sponsors and a lot of lucky draws and also the entertaintment of dance & cultural performances for them to enjoy. Other occasion, we created a tour golf for our member, such as ASGA group in China in 2009, Asia Pacific Senior Golf in Bali, 2008 and an event “Mini ASGA” (Small Group tournament of 80 participants of 5 countries) in 2010. It is firmly believed that ASGA is the precious opportunity for its members to share and enjoy the interaction with other members at the same time experiencing different cultures under the five national flags are raised. In continuing of further expansion of this wonderful friendship in coming years.
