🏆 We are thrilled to announce that IGHC made a remarkable impact at the Highland Heresy tournament in Bandung, sweeping the podium and showcasing the dedication of our entire team!
🥇 1st Place: Coach Ryan Ryan Li - always motivates us through his examples in skill and guidance! His powerful and precise fencing reflects his lifelong passion for the art.
🥈 2nd Place: Christian Marcel Budiman - after only 6 months of HEMA training with us, he made a phenomenal comeback from a complete fibula fracture in January. His explosive and unpredictable style earned him the silver medal—a testament to his resilience.
🥉 3rd Place: Razi - a dedicated student with just 4 months of training, Razi's light footwork and swift hand movements, combined with his quiet and tactical approach, secured him the bronze medal.
Honorable Mentions:
Reza : Since joining Pedang Merdeka in August 2024, Reza has shown significant growth, even competing in Einherjar Cup in Hong Kong the same year. Recognized as one of the best fencers in our club, his passion and skill are undeniable, and we celebrate his journey and contributions.
Pandu : A newcomer with 5 months of training and a newcomer in HEMA competition scene, Pandu boasts an impressive winning record. Despite back pain, he demonstrated commendable performance, reflecting his dedication and potential.
Randi : As a founding student, Randi's fast handwork and fierce spirit are invaluable. Although he didn't advance to the elimination rounds, his commitment since the beginning is deeply appreciated.
Jimmy Jo Jimmy : At 46 Jimmy's courage to compete alongside younger fencers is inspiring. His journey is just the beginning, and we encourage him to continue honing his skills with unwavering spirit!
