Not all Mola Mola encounters are created equal. 🌊

Bali has three genuinely world-class spots to see them β€” each with its own conditions, currents, and difficulty level. Crystal Bay is the reliable classic. Blue Corner is for divers who want the drift dive thrill alongside the sighting. Gili Tepekong & Gili Mimpang, tucked in Amuk Bay between Padang Bai and Candidasa, bring cold currents and serious pelagic action.

Save this before you plan your next trip. 🐟

Peak season is happening right now β€” July through October. No guarantees with nature, but when it happens, you won't forget it.

Saw a Mola Mola? Here's what to actually do. 🌊

Peak season is happening right now in Nusa Penida β€” but a great encounter isn't just about being lucky enough to see one. Stay calm, keep your distance, never touch it, and let your guide do what they do best.

The calmer we are, the longer they stay.

πŸ“… Mark your calendar: September 5th β€” we're heading out to catch this season at its peak. Spots are limited, and this window won't last forever.

Meet the strangest fish in the ocean. 🌊

The Mola Mola β€” also called the ocean sunfish β€” is the heaviest bony fish on the planet, can weigh over 2,000kg, and comes up from the deep specifically to get cleaned by reef fish. Even its name is a little unexpected: "Mola" is Latin for millstone, referencing that flat, round shape.

It looks like it was designed by committee, and we mean that as a compliment.

Right now is peak season to see one in Nusa Penida. Swipe through for more πŸ‘‰

The reef is full of things that look harmless β€” and aren't. 🐠⚠️

Fire coral that isn't actually coral. A "rock" that's really a stonefish. A gorgeous shell hiding a venomous harpoon. Most of Bali's reef hazards aren't aggressive β€” they just don't like being touched, and neither should you touch them.

Save this before your next dive. Good buoyancy is still the best protection there is. 🀿

Padang Bai doesn't get enough credit for its macro life. πŸ”πŸŒŠ

This trip alone gave us a peacock mantis shrimp flexing every color in the book, and a scorpionfish so perfectly camouflaged we almost swam right past it.

Swipe through β€” and try spotting the scorpionfish before you read the caption. It took our eyes a second too. πŸ‘€

Padang Bai isn't just a crossing point to the Gilis. It's one of Bali's most underrated macro dive sites β€” patient divers get rewarded here. 🐠

Yes, tec diving looks intense. πŸ˜… No, you don't need to be a superhero to try it.

It's really just more tank, more time, more to explore down there. Once you get past the gear, it's honestly one of the most fun things we do.

If you've ever wondered what's a little deeper than your usual dive β€” this might be your sign. 🀿

You've got your Open Water card. Here's what you're actually missing. 🌊

18m felt like everything the first time. But that's just the surface of what Bali has to offer.

Advanced Open Water takes you to 30m β€” deeper wrecks, walls, and drop-offs that Open Water divers simply can't access. You'll learn navigation so you're not always following behind a guide. Drift dives, deep dives, night dives β€” all unlocked.

Most divers upgrade within their first year. Because once you've seen the reef, you start wondering what's below it. 🀿

Ever wondered what your dive guide is actually looking at when they pause mid-dive? πŸͺΈπŸŒŠ

Discover Reef Check is a one-day introduction to marine conservation in Pemuteran β€” one of Indonesia's leading destinations for coral reef restoration. You'll learn how real reef health surveys work, identify key indicator species, and put it into practice on a guided dive.

No science background needed. Just curiosity.
