Iโ€™m a huge fan of goal setting. I believe it gives people focus and direction with training/life in general and allows people to formulate an effective plan in achieving whatever goal they set out.

What I mean by the above is this....
If you have a goal to become a Sanctional level CrossFit athlete, then you must align all your actions to that goal. Making good nutrition choices, getting more than enough sleep, making sacrifices in your job and personal life, get all your training done even when you feel demotivated, the list goes on.
Or maybe you want to lose weight, look good in a bikini ๐Ÿ‘™ for that beach holiday...Or your a bloke who wants to see his Abs for the first time ever? ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป However for 30% of the week (fri-sun) you donโ€™t make good nutrition choices ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿซ, drink too much alcohol๐Ÿท๐Ÿบ and donโ€™t train๐Ÿ˜ด...Your goal therefore is unrealistic.
I hear this a lot...

The Cossack squat ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ is one of favourite movements when warming up for for heavy squats or any sort of loaded knee flexion work.
Why? ๐Ÿค” - Because it works unilateral (single) leg strength/activation along with being a great hip opener!

Not much to see here...

Just some moderately loaded GTOH (92.5kg x3 every 90s x8)...

Happy with how these are feeling, after a damaged wrist has limited all my Oly lifting recently.

Also yesterday I had great chat with Tom from regarding the next 12 months of training - Heโ€™s a very knowledgable, experienced coach, and itโ€™s great to have him in my corner managing my training - so I donโ€™t have to think about it ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Sometimes, training has to take a back seat, and life priorities take over. For me at the moment, this is one of those times.

Iโ€™m ok with this - it doesnโ€™t stop me training towards goals or working hard. It just means you have to accept progress may be a little slower than usual or look abit for different.

When you go through tough times - you find out who really does have your back. I wonโ€™t name them here, they know who they re - but I just want to say thankyou for all your support.

Bali - An incredible place.

You will always hold a special place in mine and โ€™sheart. We got engaged here, and subsequently came back for our honeymoon.

Thankyou to all the places weโ€™ve stayed for making our time here so special. I couldnโ€™t recommend these resorts/villas enough if you ever choose to come to this brilliant island.




But for now itโ€™s time to start saving up for the next adventure, with my new wifey for lifey โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š
