Register for an instructor training online. Go to www.zumba.com and look at the tab named “Instructor Training”. You will be signing up for “Zumba Basic 1” Training. Enter the country and (state if in Indonesia) and just register for training close to your area. Zumba Basic 1 trainings sell out fast so you need to act and sign up and take advantage of the early bird discount. You can always check
frequently and see if new ones come up close to your area and they usually do. Don’t sweat it if there is not one available, just make use of the time you have and sharpen your skills, go to other instructors classes. Try to learn as much as you can as a student. There are discounts mentioned online about trainings, this is for existing instructors. This does NOT apply to you if this is your very first training. Don’t even bother to ask for a discount or anything, just pay what it is online. Attend the training on the day and time. You should have gotten emails from your trainer (Zumba Education Specialist – ZES) by now about what to expect and what to bring etc. Expect a full long day of working out and getting bombarded with a lot of information. All great and valuable information, you will learn A LOT and most importantly you will have fun doing it. Zumba Style…:) All the ZESs are awesome, you will fall in love with your ZES and make sure to take a few pictures with him/her after the training. I know you will post it on facebook so no need to mention that…LOL…
Step 3. Celebrate
There is no test or pass/fail in a zumba instructor training. Everybody including YOU WILL pass…:) This comes from the idea of the creator of Zumba Fitness believing in the fact that everybody deserves a chance. You can argue all you want about the business aspects of this decision, but I will tell you what, it is irrelevant my friends, just be thankful that you have given a chance and what you do with your license is really up to you and just rock your classes!! Now that you know “how to become a zumba instructor”, what is next? You really have gotten a license to teach zumba classes what you do with it is really up to you. You can take it to the sky or just get the DVDs and watch them home. All are perfectly ok depending on your goals…:)
Practice makes it better. Good luck, enjoy the ride, be the best you can be!
