Ever feel like your mind is a hamster on a wheel?
Running toward what it wants. Raga.
Running away from what it doesn’t want. Dvesha.
Faster and faster, going nowhere.
I drew that first slide by hand. The yogis described this thousands of years ago, and I could see it so clearly in myself that I had to put it on paper.
So what happens when we step off the wheel?
For me, that’s where yoga gets really interesting.
And I don’t just want to be present. I want to feel that presence outside, in the beauty of the living world. 🌿
That’s the heart of my new book, Yogic by Nature, and the drawings in this post come from it.
TONIGHT • 6:30 PM PT • FREE
I’m teaching 11 essential concepts that make yoga philosophy make sense in about 15 minutes.
Then we’ll take those ideas out of our heads and into our bodies with a Vinyasa flow, and close with meditation.
If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, come practice with me LIVE tonight at Nandi Yoga in San Mateo.
Or join us online from anywhere.
Can’t make it live? Register anyway.
You’ll get:
