As organizer of the European Championship Coursing we are aware of the Corona Virus outbreak which is causing serious consequences in our daily lives. We understand that there are many questions about the upcoming championship.
As organizer we monitor the official communications of our government and we will of course follow and apply all official directives. We are also in constant contact with the Hungarian Kennel Club and the FCI Commission of Sighthound Races and consult each other about this exceptional situation.

The FCI does not plan any general action related to the Coronavirus because the handling of the given situation strictly depends on the local status. Nevertheless, the FCI wishes to draw attention to the fact that the local authorities have the right and responsibility to implement local regulations related to public events, whenever needed.
To avoid any inconvenient situation, the FCI recommends to check the updated respective news sources, follow government advice regarding travel and the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO): www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public !
Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority.
