A Mátrabérc Trail a hazai terepfutás egyik meghatározó tavaszi eseménye, amely évről évre nagy kihívás elé állítja mind a hazai mind a külföldi futókat. A verseny útvonala, a Mátra főgerincét követve, kelet-nyugati irányban keresztülhalad az egész hegységen. A nyomvonal 99%-ban természetes talajú erdei utakon fut, aminek a 4/5-e tipikus, sok helyen egynyomos gerincút, pompás kilátásokkal. Ezen a l
enyűgöző útvonalon emelkedik hazánk két legmagasabb csúcsa az 1014 méteres Kékes és a 965 méter magas Galyatető.

Mátrabérc Trail is a trail running event that not only means a big challenge year by year to many runners from Hungary and from foreign countries but also offers an excellent opportunity that everybody can try out his abilities by running through the highest mountain of the country. The track of the race, which goes through the whole mountain from east to west, follows the main ridge of the Mátra. 99 % of the trace is trail,four fifth of it is usually single-track ridge, with amazing diversified view.
