Two weeks ago, our Medvedi kids took part in the EMRYT U13 Championship in Collecchio, Italy 🇮🇹⚾️
We couldn’t share earlier since we’re still on tour with other squads, but here are some snapshots to remind us of an amazing event!

👉 18 teams from all across Europe competed in two categories: “Sports” and “Future”.
A big thank you to the organizers, players, coaches, and families for making it such a memorable experience 🙌🖤❤️

Medvednica Bears faced Hippos Havlickuv Brod - two proud teams, rich in history.

But this meeting wrote a new story: brothers from Argentina🇦🇷, World national Champions🏆, now on opposite sides in one of Europe's🇪🇺 most prestigious tournament.

🏟️ FINAL GAMES! FINAL CHANCE! JARUN MIRACLE!!!

Heading into the last games of the regular season, Medvednica sat dead last. Tied in wins with Zagreb, but trailing in score difference. Playoffs? A miracle was needed.

Facing reigning champions Olimpija, few gave us a chance. Coefficient was 45:1. But only the players who were on the field believed. The team showed up with fire in their eyes and fight in their hearts. 💥 The game turned into a battle of will and grit — and Medvednica refused to surrender!

With extraordinary pitching by Louis Sanchez and hits in key moments when it mattered most, WE STUNNED the league with a 7–3 win — our 4th W of the regular HBL season and just enough to grab a spot in the playoffs! 😤🔥

The underdogs are still in the fight! Let’s go, Medvednica! 🐻⚾

🔥 Medvednica Female Squad on Fire! 🔥

What a game! In a high-stakes clash against the Lady Pirates, drama struck early — our star catcher was ejected, and our starting pitcher had to leave the circle due to injury. 😳

But did the Medvednica girls back down? Absolutely not. 💪 They came back even stronger, delivering a ferocious performance and dominating with ang 18:4 win! 💥

With hearts full of fight and eyes on the prize, they’ve punched their ticket to the Finals Series of the Croatian Championship! 🇭🇷🥎

Let’s hear it for the squad! 👏🔥

🎉 Softball Thursday Funday Recap ⚾️🔥

What a Holliday! 💥 Medvednica showed up con todo and crushed it in the final games of the summer stretch. First up, a 14:1 blowout over SPAN, followed by a 10:3 win against Giants. That makes it 8-0 this season, ¡increíble! 💪

Only one more game left and we’re still riding that perfect wave. Like Jarabe Kidd said:
"No looking back, I was made for this track." 🎶
And that’s exactly the energy we’re bringing into the last showdown. 🏆

Gracias to everyone who came out to support, cheered loud, and made this summer series unforgettable. ☀️ Una victoria más… vamos por todo. 🐻🔥

What. A. Weekend. 🔥⚾🥎

Baseball & Softball Medvednica had one for the books!

💥 Luis Sánchez secured his 2nd win of the season in a nail-biting 2:1 victory over EIB in the Open League Baseball – a growing elite interleague competition that keeps delivering!

🧢 The Men’s Softball Team smashed their way to two big wins in the Croatian Championships, taking down SPAN and Špansko with scores of 14:12 and 15:6 – blasting 5 home runs along the way! 💪

But the true MVPs of this weekend?

🧒 Our incredible U13 squad 🧒, who battled through an absolutely brutal schedule: 6 games in just 2 days, with 4 of them back-to-back! Over 8 hours on their feet – powered by endless cheers from the parent squad and an elite combo of pancakes, sandwiches & juice boxes 🥞🥪🧃

🔥 They rose to the challenge and came out as the U13 Zagreb Softball Champions in the Player Pitch category!

💚 Big heart, bigger hustle. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Tough weekend in Karlovac for Medvednica as we were facing reigning champs Olimpija.

Despite a solid start and a tied game, up to the 5th inning in Game 1, we fell short in both matches — 5:1 and 11:3.

We fight on. Following weekend will feature desecive games against town rivals Zagreb for a playoff spot in the 2025 HBL championship.

🚨 OPENING WEEKEND = COMPLETE! 🚨

Medvednica baseball is BACK and we brought the drama to start the season! 🔥

Game 1 didn’t go our way — a wild collection of 11 errors (yes, you read that right 😅) and a fired-up Zagreb squad took the opener 10-6. Props to them, they showed up loud and ready.

BUT DAY 2... THAT WAS A DIFFERENT STORY. 😤

Medvednica came out SWINGING, dropping 15 hits and running away with a 14-4 W to split the series! 💥 Big bats, tight defense, pure fire!

And can we talk about the new guys?! 💣 Jotam Guillermo, Justin Olic, and Luis Sanchez landed straight off the plane and immediately made noise. Welcome to the squad, boys!

This team’s got heart, fight, and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned... it’s gonna be a season to remember. 🐻⚾️

Indoor season means no excuses, only hustle. The grind doesn’t stop because of winter time - every swing, every catch, every pitch gets us closer to season start 💪👊

🤘Just when we thought the season for outdoor games was over... Karlovac surprised everyone with an unexpected invitation for a open invite U15 draft scrimmage! ❄️⚾️ Despite the chilly 6°C, young athletes from all across Croatia 🇭🇷 came to K-town, took the field with passion and grit, showing that nothing can stop them. Whether it's summer sun 🌞 or autumn chill 🥶, these players bring their all. Hats off to the future stars! 🙌💪

🏆 Well, well, well… look who clawed their way to the Croatian Men’s Championship! Medvednica Bears, rising from the ashes after going down 0-2 against defending champions SPAN, pulled off the “impossible” (or just made it look that way). SPAN was so close they could taste it — one game away from back-to-back titles — until Game 3, which was forfeited due to inhumane conditions in the 4th inn with a 3:0 Medvednica lead 😱.

But here’s the best part: after that little "pause", Medvednica came back like a freight train! Restart of Game 3? A casual 9-2 win. Game 4? Just a breezy 10-4. And what about desecive Game 5? Oh, nothing special... just a humble 12-0 shutout. Yep, that’s 31-6 with 4HR in the last three comeback games, folks! Better luck next year, SPAN! Individual awards season 2024: Best pitcher - Matija Balent, Best Batter and MVP - Hrvoje Jerbić 🥇😜

🏆 Last weekend was an unforgettable one for women’s softball in Croatia! Over 3 action-packed days, we witnessed incredible games and thrilling moments.

First up was the international tournament, Ballgame, where our girls fought hard and secured 5th place with a 3-1 win, thanks to a stellar performance by pickup player Senna Van Monfort from dutch team Red Lions.

Then came the Croatian Cup! Princ claimed one spot in the finals, but the battle for the second spot (for WBSC Europe 2025 EC qualifier) came down to Medvednica vs. Lady Pirates. Despite missing key players, Medvednica’s youngsters, led by catcher Lorena aka Loki, stepped up big time. A solid pitching display by Rita, flawless defense by Švecka and newcomer Marta, and a walkoff hit by Tia T sealed a thrilling 7-6 victory. What a weekend! 🥎👊

Upcoming weekend will bring us the conclusion of the Croatian Men's championship. So stay tuned!
