So proud of Marta's success at the Croatian Indoor Singles Championship for Junior Girls : second place in doubles, semifinals in singles.
In the singles, Marta passed first, second round and quarterfinals,without dropping a set. Unfortunaltely, under the pressure of the semifinals, she could not show her full potential and ended her singles performance.
In the doubles competition, Marta played with Petra Hanzela, and the girls lost only one game until the final. Unfortunately, Petra's foot swelled and in finals they had to walk over.
We wish Petra fast recovery, and congratulate Marta on her result at the Croatian Indoor Championship U16.🎉🎊🎁

🥉Third Place Vibes in the Silver Group🥉

This weekend, our U10 team showed up and showed out at the ZTA Team Championship. After an intense group stage, the team fought their way into the Silver Group and clinched a solid 3rd place after defeating TK Mladost 3. 💪

Big shoutout to our players: Ena, Antea, Alisa, Mila, Vita, Alen, Simun, and Marko. 🙌🎾And a special mention to Vita, Simun, and Marko for rocking their very first tournament! 👏

The hard work continues with Ena and Antea heading to the Croatian Masters U10 in just five days. Let's go! 🚀🎾

🏆🔝[Marta Dzanic second at Tennis Europe, Grade One]🔝🏆

Marta Dzanic finished her performance at the 29th international junior tennis tournament "Open RTC Barcelona 1899 – Sarajevo 2025", Memorial Namik Terzimehić, Juan Antonio Samaranch and Juan Maria Tintore, with yesterday's final. This year's edition of Sarajevo Tennis Europe tournament, Category one, , hosted around 100 tennis players from 23 countries, and Marta competed in both singles and doubles.
In the singles competition, Dzanic overcame all obstacles until the final without dropping a set, dominating with a stable and clear game against strong opponents. In the final match of the tournament, Marie Charlotte Monnier from Poland celebrated this time. This is Marta's third singles final at TE tournaments, from which she already has one title in the singles.
Monnier and in a pair with the Ukrainian Zaichenko stopped Dzanic, who reached doubles semi-finals with Nikolina Kovacevic. The tense and uncertain match ended with the score 4:6 7:5 12:10 in favor of Monnier/Zaichenko.

Marta's success in this tournament, both in singles and doubles, should also be placed in the context of the ranking of the tournament, given that this is the one of only 7 junior tournaments of the first rank that are played in Europe in a season. Thus, during the past 30 years, numerous winners of subsequent junior and senior titles have played at this tournament in Sarajevo, including Daniil Medvedev, the number one player in the world (ATP) in 2022. Medvedev, as a junior, performed at the "Open RTC Barcelona 1899 - Sarajevo 2010" and ended his performance in the semifinals, both singles and doubles.

Winning tropheys and serving smiles. Marta Dzanic finished this week with both titles at Đakovo Open. Winning a three setter finals in singles with 6:4 4:6 6:4 and in doubles with 1:6 6:4 10:4, with her partner Petra Hanzel, Marta activated her championship mode and doubled her success.
Competitions always give us something to look forward to and a way to push ourselves harder to be the best we can be. Not only winning boosts a player's self-belief and confidence, which is essential for navigating the pressures of competition and striving for higher goals, but victories also provide opportunities to refine technical skills, tactical decision-making, and match strategy in a competitive environment.

What a great week for this brave girl has been!💫🇭🇷

Winners of the final round 💫

In the 5th round of the First Croatian Senior League, our team hosted HATK Mladost.

The team consisting of: Marija Kelava, Marta Džanić, Moni Potrč and Nika Livančić defeated the guests with a score of 4:1, with the girls achieving three victories in singles and one in doubles. We finished this year's senior league in third place, very close to making the playoffs - in the narrow defeat in the 3rd round against the first-placed team, a tie-break loss with a score of 2:3 played a decisive role. Even a 3:2 win against the second-placed team TK Tweener did not help our team to finish better than the 3rd, as one match was lost in a tie-break, which, if it had gone to the side of our team, would have resulted in a 4:1 and got us the necessary point to qualify for the playoffs.

Congratulations to all clubs and competitors on the fight and the result!

🔝An Important Victory in First League for our seniors' team🔝

Great day for our senior team at the First Croatian Senior League! Girls achieved a valuable 3:2 victory against TK Tweener. After an equal number of victories in singles, the decisive point was brought in doubles by Dzanic/Kelava with 3:6 6:2 10:6.💫

In the first two rounds, our team was not in full and we have lost tightly to TK Dalmacija Cement and TK Olimpija-Osijek. Despite everything, our players showed fighting spirit and were close to the playoffs for the Premier League.

Players who performed in the first three rounds:

Marija Kelava, Monika Likic, Marta Dzanic, Ivana Jelic, Moni Potrc, Nika Livancic

Dzanic and Livancic also played in the junior league and won all matches in the junior and senior competitions.🏆💪

The girls will play the last round this Sunday at 5 pm against HATK Mladost - we invite everyone to come and support the team!🔜

[Awaiting for the opponent in the Final of the Croatian Team Championship]
At the Croatian Team Championship for Juniors - City of Zagreb - Regional League, our have qualified for the finals and are awaiting the winning team from the semi-final match played today by Hatk Mladost and Teniski Klub Medveščak.
Teeam consisting of Una Grubesic (first board), Nika Livancic (second board), Marta Dzanic, Nika Svetec and Una Oruc first convincingly defeated Tennis Club Chromos-Savica in the quarter-finals on Saturday, 28.6.25, with a score of 5:0. In the semi-final match on Sunday, 29.6., against Tennis club Precko, girls concluded their singles matches with a 3:2 victory.
Good luck to our girls in the upcoming final!

What a beautiful week that was! The first week of consisted of hard work on the court and well earned break afterwards. Tennis dedication accompanied with tons of fun at the beach & aquapark, boat & train ride. I have been organising tennis camps for more than 15 years and each year is still special and exciting.

Tennis coaching often goes beyond just teaching skills. It includes personalized guidance, mindset work, long-term development plans, and support outside of the session itself. But where do we draw the line between coaching and private sessions? Is it fair to price them the same, or should coaching be considered a premium service due to its deeper level of commitment and value?

🎯 1. Coaching Delivers Strategic and Mental Value
While a coach may not be as physically active in a coaching session (e.g. hitting with the player), what they’re offering is often more valuable long-term on-court in-time: tactical&mental development, match strategy and planning, technical feedback through observation, long-term growth—not just physical reps planning.�
This kind of expertise doesn’t require a racquet in hand—it requires knowledge, communication, and experience. These are what elevate a player's game over time.

⚙️ 2. Teaching vs. Coaching Are Different Disciplines
* A hitting lesson is about physical repetition and mechanics. It is often reactive (e.g Here’s how you hit the shot)�
* A coaching session is about development, decision-making, and understanding the why behind the how. This one is proactive (e.g. Here’s what to do when you're losing focus).�

💰 3. Frame the Value Properly
Parents see movement = value, but that’s like saying a chess coach isn't working unless they’re moving pieces. If coaches clearly communicate the intellectual and strategic investment they're making in the player, the perceived value shifts:
"This session is focused on match tactics, decision-making, and mental skills—just as important as hitting a forehand."
"Great players are made through understanding the game, not just playing it."�
You could also offer feedback post-session to parents, so they see that progress is happening.
Coaching isn’t about how tired the coach gets—it's about how much smarter and more prepared the player becomes. These sessions deliver developmental value, in the same was as private lessons do.

This Easter we started a great story together that could easily become a tradition, since multiple benefits for young talents cannot be denied. In collaboration with Humic Tennis Academy, my respectable and world wide appreciated colleague and friend, Ico Humic (GPTC-A-level coach), I organized a three day camp right before Easter (17.-19.4.2025).
Twelve and competitors worked diligently during tennis and fitness training and theory classes. It was a full day camp with meals provided and tons of fun. In a great atmosphere we concluded our first competitors-only and invitation-only camp providing each player a unique sport profile card.

Proud to be a part of this tradition - organization of Zagreb tennis tournament Plazma Sportske igre mladih 2025 for sixth year in a row - a huge sport event that is going on for almost three decades now in 10 different sports and disciplines (next year will be 3️⃣0️⃣ years since their official start!). 🤸🏻🤸🏼‍♀️
So many great players competed in summer and winter tennis events under Sportske igre mladih umbrella. Divided in three groups: Yellow, Green and Orange, all the winners from other Croatian cities will be competing in the National final that will be hosted in Rijeka. 🔜
Great tournament, a lot of fun, engagement and serious tennis, but fair play above all. Congratulations to all participants, parents and this year winners!✨🏆
