2025 was not an easy one. Fewer trophies, but countless challenges and experiences that shaped me both on and off the track. I’m grateful that I had the chance to drive internationally, including driving in Lonato and racing in Italy — something that had been a long-time goal for me.
Unfortunately, the year was heavily marked by the incident in Austria, where I had an engine failure and my chassis was destroyed in a single moment. At the same time, Austria will always stand out for the comeback: fixing the kart on our own, the work put into switching engines, rebuilding and rebending the chassis, and making it somewhat race-ready just in time to fight in a strong Austrian field — something I’ll never forget. 🏁

I’m extremely thankful for the support of Cobra Virovitica and everything they did for me throughout the year. Without them, racing would not have been possible. Driving alongside my teammates, and the support of Marijan, Mihael, and Mario, made a real difference — the experience would have been very different without them. 🙌

Race Report – Lignano 🇼đŸ‡č | 15–16.11

My last race of the season took place at the fantastic track of Lignano, in a strong field of the local championship. I arrived on Friday after a long drive — made smooth and easy thanks to Somogy Utánfutó’s exceptional trailer. For this weekend, I reunited with my old chassis, and Friday was all about hard work and progress. The track was very green, and both the setup and the engine needed major tweaks throughout the day. We made steady improvements, even if the day ended with extra work solving a brake issue.

Saturday started strong — I was consistently among the podium contenders in every session, including qualifying and the race. I noticed that whenever the track was slippery, either early morning or late afternoon, I felt especially fast. I even improved my personal best at Lignano by half a second, despite the surface being much less rubbered in than it was back in May.

Sunday was full of anticipation — the track was foggy, humid, and mixed after morning rain. We ran a wet setup all day, sometimes with rain tires, sometimes slicks. The first session went perfectly — I finished first in class and even ahead of IAME and OK engines. The next one was trickier with too high tire pressure (a good learning lesson), but overall, I felt great in the greasy conditions. Our setup and tire strategy worked exactly as planned, and I was leading my category until the final lap — when I was taken out under yellow, one of the most unfair moves I’ve experienced. It dropped me to P4 in class, which was hard to accept right after the race, but still, we achieved what we came for — it was an absolute blast to end the season this way!

Final Result: P4

Race Report – Virovitica đŸ‡đŸ‡· | 13–14.09.

For the latest Croatian Championship round in Virovitica, I competed with the support of Igor Kosanski. After nearly two months away from the kart to focus on other business ventures, I returned with a new engine. Despite the fresh build, top speed and RPM stayed low, so we changed exhausts, carburetors, filters, and fuel pumps — gaining a bit more performance. The setup kept improving with Igor’s help, but some issues simply couldn’t be solved.

Saturday was a struggle, and I went into Sunday hoping for rain đŸŒ§ïž — my best chance with the material I had. The warm-up was wet, which I enjoyed, but the track dried for qualifying. On the dry, grippy surface I knew I’d struggle, and despite being just three tenths off pole, I qualified P6. The result was decent, but the driving felt like a fight the whole way.

Before the races, my father told me to just send it and be flamboyant no matter what đŸ’Ș. In Race 1 I started outside, overtook Nino Skugor at the start, and defended like hell until the end. The pace felt slow, but it paid off — with a penalty ahead, I finished P4. Race 2 started badly with a slow start in my lane, but I went flat out into Turn 1 and passed Skugor again. I even pulled off another successful move for P3 at the hairpin, but five laps later got hit hard from behind, launching me into the wall and ending my race.

Despite the DNF, I still left with P2 in the Zagreb Championship 🏆 — a result I didn’t expect. Huge thanks to Igor for all his help and to Somogy Utánfutó for the trailers that continue to support me in countless ways. After this weekend, I am making a few changes to my racing before the next and last race of the season, the location of which will remain unknown for now 👀.

Race 1: 4ïžâƒŁ

Race Report – BOX707 đŸ‡đŸ‡· | 13–14.07.

The final race weekend before the summer break took place at Box707 — a tight, technical, and narrow track. I had planned for two full test days ahead of Sunday qualifying, but business and personal issues forced me to do only one test day on Saturday. The kart came together just in time — big thanks to AMP Racing for jigging the chassis and to Marijan for the support leading up to the event.

Saturday’s focus was on learning the track with the Rotax setup and finding a balance for such a unique layout. The day was interrupted early by engine backfiring, which led us to change the spark plug, carburetor, and filters — temporarily solving the issue. Despite trying several setup combinations and tire pressures, I struggled with understeer throughout the day. The turning point came before the final session of the day when Igor Kosanski joined and gave valuable input that immediately improved the handling. After that, we made major overnight changes — nearly every part of the kart was adjusted. Sunday’s 10-minute warm-up was my only chance to test the new setup, which felt promising right away, though my steering wheel came loose mid-session.

Qualifying was full of unknowns, but I managed to secure P3 despite the limited practice. Unfortunately, the engine backfiring returned during the session, raising concerns for the races ahead.

Race 1 ended before it began — the engine lost all power on the formation lap and stopped completely just a few meters after the start, forcing a DNF. It was a frustrating and difficult moment in a season already marked by technical issues. For Race 2, we did what we could to address the problem. I started last but made up ground quickly, climbing to P4 on the opening lap and into P3 shortly after. However, the engine issues returned — with random misfiring and power loss mid-straight, I was losing several tenths lap by lap. I fought to hold position but had to settle for P4 as the issue worsened near the end of the race.

It was a weekend of what could have been. The pace was encouraging despite the setbacks and limited running. Big thanks to Cobra Virovitica and Igor Kosanski — their support made a real difference throughout the weekend.

Final Result:

Quali: P3
Race One: DNF

Busy couple of weeks behind me but let me share the Novi Marof race report.

Race Report - Novi Marof đŸ‡đŸ‡· | 21–22.06.

My third race weekend of the season took place at Novi Marof and marked my first appearance in the CEZ Championship. Ongoing technical difficulties from previous events continued, including chassis issues and the use of a training engine throughout the weekend. Friday’s running was further limited due to a failed starter.

With minimal practice and limited straight-line speed, setup work focused on carburetor and sprocket combinations, though these changes did not resolve the top speed deficit. A setup adjustment brought slight improvements for Saturday, but in qualifying I only had one lap with slipstream. Despite setting a competitive time, I qualified P9.

The setup changes for Sunday showed promise. In Race 1, I got off to a strong start and overtook four drivers within the first lap, but contact at the hairpin broke all bolts in the steering wheel hub, forcing a retirement. Race 2 began from the back of the grid. I made up two positions early before the race was red-flagged due to a major accident right in front of me at high speed. Thankfully, the driver involved was okay. After the restart, I climbed to P8, but the lack of slipstream and top speed made further progress impossible.

For Race 3, I took a risk on setup. I managed another good start and then spent the entire race defending hard against a faster kart with a significant straight-line speed advantage. It turned into one of the toughest defensive drives I’ve had — and one of the most rewarding. I held position to finish P5.

It was a challenging weekend with clear limitations on both the chassis and engine side. Still, it was valuable to be back racing and battling in an international field. After a long break, it felt great to be back under the Cobra Virovitica tent, racing alongside my teammates under Marijan’s guidance.

Final Result:
Quali: P9
Race One: P11
Race Two: P8
Race Three: P5

Race Report - Speedworld, Bruck 🇩đŸ‡č 11–12.05.

Just one week after racing in Italy, I took on the Austrian Championship at Speedworld in Bruck — a new track and a very competitive field in Rotax Max Senior.

Friday was all about learning, and I managed to complete 100 laps. Saturday started promising, but qualifying was a mess with traffic and a brake-check that nearly cost me my front bumper. In Race 1, I gained positions early on before a cracked rim caused my rear tire to lose pressure — somehow, I still finished without dropping places. Race 2 was even harder, with a part breaking on the chassis, making right-handers extremely unpredictable. Thanks to the track crew and a friend in the paddock, we managed to fix the issue after a long night of work.

Sunday started well — until my engine failed in the last practice session and the driver behind me completely smashed into my kart. In just a few seconds, I lost an engine and damaged the chassis again — all one hour before qualifying. We got the kart ready with 30 seconds to spare before Race 1. Starting last, I had some great battles, even with a loose steering wheel making it difficult to be precise, and finished P16. In Race 2, I improved my pace and lap times, battled all the way through, and finished P13 out of 22. A wild weekend, but definitely one to remember.

The results could have been better, but with everything that happened, I was really happy — I achieved what I came for: to get faster and gain experience in traffic.

Final Result:
Saturday P18 (out of 22)
Sunday P13 (out of 22)

Race Report Lignano - 05.04 🇼đŸ‡č

After the test in Lonato, we moved to Lignano, where we had just one day—Saturday—to prepare for a regional club championship event on Sunday. There was a lot of work to do: my brother’s kart had a destroyed radiator and several other parts that needed fixing, and I was also dealing with issues around my rear axle.

We quickly resolved the problems on my kart, which allowed me to complete around 80 laps and get familiar with the track before race day. I immediately liked the layout, with its fast corners, heavy braking zones, and a short technical section. By the end of the day, I was happy with my speed—I was the fastest Rotax driver. The new radiator for my brother’s kart arrived at the last minute on Saturday, so he only managed about 15 laps.

Sunday was fun. After the first practice session, we realized it would be very difficult to keep up with the Iame karts (it was an open engine choice category). Still, by the lunch break, I was in P4 and my brother was right behind me in P5, which made me really proud of his pace. In the afternoon, the local drivers picked up even more speed, and we dropped back to P6 and P7 (out of 15) before the final race.

In the final, I had a strong start and moved up to P4, battling for the podium. Unfortunately, I had a clash with another driver who came into me from the side, which caused my chain to drop and ended my race early. My brother was also pushed off track but managed to finish in P10.

Final Result: Did Not Finish

Despite the DNF, I was glad to experience racing in Italy. I’m certain I learned a lot in every aspect—from the racing itself to the preparation and competition level. It was a tough but exciting weekend at a great track, and I definitely want to come back.

Thank you to everyone who supported us on this Italian journey—your help made the whole experience possible and unforgettable. Thanks also to Ivan for organizing the championship!
