Reposted from .hr 🥋 Two of the most popular karate events for youngsters, the WKF Youth Camp and Cup and the Karate 1-Youth League will take place from 28th June to 5th July in Poreč. In just a couple of days, all eyes of the sport will once again turn to Poreč and Croatia after welcoming more than 1200 participants in the EKF European Karate and Parakarate Championships last month, all led by the Croatian Karate Federation.
Youth League is a newly created competition conceived to highlight the impact of Karate at young ages. Established under the umbrella of Karate 1, Youth League aims at becoming a platform for the development of youngsters in their quest to progress in the sport. The event in Poreč will be the second of the year, after Karate-1 Youth League Limassol, and Istanbul and Venice will do it by the end of the summer. On the other hand, Youth training camp is the most massive Karate event of the year for youngsters all over the world.
🇭🇷 💪 Over 2000 young karatekas and participants confirmed their registration for Poreč. Istria county is becoming traditionally a popular destination for karatekas. Following the success of previous events, the 2021 WKF Youth Camp and Youth Leagues had moved from its old location in Umag to Poreč to accommodate a larger number of participants. Poreč was originally supposed to host these events last year, however, it was cancelled due to the Covid-19.
WKF Youth Camp and Cup starts on Monday 28th June and Youth League will follow from Friday, July 2nd, with the first categories of the under 14 competition.
