Together with local gastronomy led by autochthonous vine sorts "malvazija" and "teran", superior olive oil, honey and brandy, istrian- ox sauce or home-grown hen sauce, truffle is undoubtedly gastronomic jewel of this climate, which is, due to its specific quality among the most precious in the world. You should experience truffle hunt adventures walking through the woods (right across the real treasure) following trained dogs which tirelessly seek "The Gold of Istria". While getting through dense forest by the beautiful landscape of the old Mirna river and waiting for the dog to smell something and what will be in the "hole", gives special charm to the hunt.
