Bits of History again⏳️☀️🌍

As promised we want to share with you a location where the psefizm was found! :)

Few years ago the excavation where completed and a monumental 2,500 years old cistern where psefizm was found has been opened for the world to see!

''The cistern is huge, 10x17 meters in size and a preserved height in the deepest part of 3 and a half meters. That is a huge amount of water. Technologically, it is a fascinating object that is unique in the Mediterranean,'' claims archaeologist Hrvoje Potrebica.

One of the puzzles is that it is open, has no traces of a roof structure, but is monumental in its size - there is no Hellenistic object on the eastern coast of the Adriatic that could rival it.

Because of all this, Lumbarda has become the second city in Croatia to be accepted into the "Europa Nostra" association, the umbrella association for historical heritage in Europe.
