🌊 Wrecks Water Polo Club Navigates Rough Currents in Quarter-Final and Classification Battles 🌊

Wrecks Water Polo Club continued their debut journey at the 24th Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament with courage and composure through a day of high-stakes competition.

In the quarter-final against Happy Valley Athletic Association, Wrecks started strong, keeping the score tight at 4–6 by halftime. But as the second half unfolded, the tide turned sharply, and the match concluded at 4–12. Despite the result, the team showed heart and unity in every play.

Later in the day, Wrecks returned to the pool for the 5th–8th place classification match, once again facing Shine Water Polo Club. The game took an unexpected course—like navigating through shifting currents and unseen undertows. Yet, Wrecks held steady, showing remarkable sportsmanship and emotional intelligence, narrowing the gap to just 1 goal and earning a place in the 5th place match tomorrow.

Wrecks Water Polo Club launched its campaign at the prestigious 24th Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament with a day of intense competition and spirited performances, finishing Day 1 with one win and one defeat in the group stage.

In the opening match, Wrecks faced a disciplined and experienced Chinese Taipei team, falling short with a score of 4–7. Despite the setback, the team showed resilience and determination, regrouping for the second match against the young and energetic Hong Kong China Team B. With renewed focus and teamwork, Wrecks secured a well-earned victory, energising their supporters and keeping hopes alive for advancement.

The team now turns its attention to the final group stage match, scheduled for tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM, where they will take on Shine Water Polo Club China. This decisive game will determine the team’s path forward in the tournament.

In the championship match, the Wrecks faced a powerhouse squad made up of former Chinese national team players, bringing elite experience and lightning-fast plays. Despite the challenge, the Wrecks held their own with courage and class—turning heads and earning respect across the beach.
